I did a pretty major research paper on this not too ago, and it's not just nostro(nothing he ever said made sense anyway)domos and the mayans who predict this date, it's also many ancient asian religions, ancient Mediterranean religions, and the aztecs. The Aztecs actually started the whole ancient religious "the world will end on this date" theory. If you look on the Aztecan Sun Stone, there were 5 suns which corresponds to 5 different dates in history, each of them having some sort of relation to a major catastrophe. Well, the fifth sun was predicted to run out around Christmas 2004. Some scientists believed the fifth sun was a prediction of the end of the world... being that there were not going to be anymore suns... but what ended up happening on that date? well, granted the world didn't end, however there was a major disaster. The Tsunami in Sri Lanka. POINT being that granted, a lot of the dates for MANY... and I do mean MANY... religions do point to 2012 being the last date of recorded history... but that's all it is.. the last date... NOWHERE in their records does it state the end of the world... It's just as far as they all saw. Probably because when you're predicting the future.. can you really predict thousands and thousands of years in the future?! NO! But... it is weird they all are 2012. Now, i'm not saying I believe it or not... but the facts do remain there. Do i think the world will end? no. Do i think something major will happen? yes. but when does something major NOT happen? how many people do you cap out on for the Behemoth/Ravine Flyer trip? i've been seeing if i can make the payments for the east coast trip, but this one just works out so much better (for my finance and schedule too..) and I've never been on a TPR trip before, nor do I really know anybody... so I'm just wondering how many people may end up going.... not that it would effect me going or not... just curious... cause I think I'm in....

I think the only thing we have to worry about 'going out of style' is the technology of the rides being put in, but so far, universal has been doing a great job keeping things up-to-date, so i really dont see a problem with this area 15 years from now. I mean take Spiderman for example. It's 8 years old.. 8! and it's still a freaking great ride. will this new HP island stand the test of time... i say yes. The fan base is there, and the ride technology Universal always puts out is there. And I too, will be there.

^^ well if you're talking about the castle to the right... then i'd say yeah it looks like a red and blue dragon dueling... making the coaster in the center Flying Unicorn and the coaster under the owl's wings something new... but that doesn't make sense positioning it like that would put the unicorn to the left and dragons to the right... putting everything south would be in the lake... but there is a bridge that looks like it could connect to jurassic park, but nothing in that picture makes too much sense to me... so i'm pretty much still in the dark. here's hoping for more news. factual news. haha

Yes you can compare HP to everything else... and me not being a HP fan (as i frankly just don't understand the dam*ed text)... i think adding HP land is a good move and will undoubtly last throughout the ages... i mean come on.. you don't think that even when the books stop... the fad stops? our kid's kids will be reading harry potter just like i read The Lion Witch and the Wardrobe and The Wizard of Oz as a kid... seriously now...
