If the park did go I wouldn't be mad....I would be sad yes. But you have to think of it in the park's pov. It costs a lot of money to run a park and with 90% of people go to the waterpark instead of the park why would you keep the park? It makes sense. Atleast if it does happen we will get a expansion and not be forgotten like GL. It comes down to a businesses. And making it a waterpark only park make total sense. Plus it sounds like Splashwater Kingdom could be one of the best waterparks in the US if true.

I see no way this can happen unless 2 rides are removed and even if that happen there would be dead ends everywhere....I mean if your a SFKK fan like me it's scary to think about.... They cant remove T2 and expand out because that would cause Dead Ends but Thats the only way I see it happening unless Thunder Run leaves...(Possible?Yes it is. Thats the only major attraction in that area and it would be a straight shot back to the old twisted twins spot.)

Thunder Run was built in 1990 too! Heres a tip when Thunder Run was first built (I think until about 1994) There was no bridge. The entrance was near the first aid building and you would have to cross the highway and cross a bridge that goes over a ravine. Remember there is a small creek near where Roller Skater is now and then walk to the entrance of Thunder Run. The Bridge is still there. If you look straight ahead while cresting Skaters lift you can see it. But it's almost covered in over brush.

Looks great! One thing though...Vampire, Squid and basically that whole area should rotate to the left where the lift isn't near the road...

Drop Tower at Kings Island gets me every time I get on it, and when your at the top and there just holding you there really freaks me out...

The only thing that I find wrong with Cedar Point is the prices, but thats how it is at most american amusement parks nowadays...There are a ton of flats and there all great. They have a ton of coasters and none of which are bad. There is an over whelming number of friendly staff that help you on everything you ask them. There are lines but almost all the lines move extremely fast (Dude, They run 3 trains on the freaking corkscrew). They have 2 kid areas and they are both very well themed and have a lot of rides. Cedar Point has a ton of awesome shows. The atmosphere is fantastic, Load of classic rides... How can you not like Cedar Point?

Harsh to certain parks. CP takes a lot of punishment here. I have no idea why? When I moved here from California I had heard about CP but only had the Cali parks to compare it to. After my first trip I was blown away. I almost immediately forgot about SFMM. Not only does CP have great coasters, they have great flats, a nice kiddie area, fun and friendly ops, and usually always a wonderful atmosphere. So much that you don't find at parks such as MM or GADV. Being on the lake is just another bonus. Maybe to many it isn't the best park, but as far a thrill parks, I dont think anything beats it. Now I know the themeing isnt quite as nice as universal or Busch but I go for the rides, not the themeing. I always get a chuckle out of the CP bashing! Agree....Cedar Point gets a lot of bashing just because it has long lines...I compare Cedar Point to WDW and major resorts like it. You definitely have to go to Cedar Point two days to get the full experince since there is just so much to do. The have no bad rides, Perfect park.

You are right, but sadly, don't see it happening. No reason to spend money on a ride that already has very few people on it. The line is almost a 30 min wait everyday....one of the most popular rides in the park.

I'm telling you...Thunder Run needs new trains, bad.

The problem is there is a lift already in the beginning, if there was NO lift then I wouldn't put it on there. But I do agree the ride is awesome otherwise my fav. thing about VMT's is getting thrown around in direction changes If there was a story (themeing) to the ride the ending might make sense, making a kind of story maybe?

Are you serious? Rockets give the best airtime on any slides other then Speed slides....but on a bad note they are capacity horrors.

This was a tragedy and my prayers go out to the family and the faculty. This is a situation where you can point fingers at everyone and most likely they won't come up with who is responsible. The parents should not have let a 3 year old out of arms reach, but there should have been more lifeguards on watch....It's a bad situation. When I stayed at the resort everything seemed so organized and it looked like there where a good amount of guards on watch with 3 guards on each side of the wavepool, 2 guards on top of each waterslide tower and even more on the raft tower and 2 at the bottom....It honestly seemed like there were more guards there then any waterpark Iv'e been to.

If they do expand the waterpark in the old Twisted Twins area, I honestly think wr will see the last of SFKK's ride area....

Yes Wes thats exactly right and the same with both of the Hurlers, Thunder Run swoops to the left while the Hurlers both swoop to the right.

Chang isn't a clone and neither is Thunder Run...
