Adventureland's official website.
Me and my cousin went over to Adventureland on opening day, March 31,2007. The weather was fair and it all in all was a pretty day. When we first got there, we bought our P.O.P bands, which is a $20 wristband to go on every ride instead of tickets. Now, when we first walked in, we hopped on over to the pirate ship. This alone gets one paragraph to itself.
Woah! The pirate ship is a ride that was built by the company, HUSS. Damn, that ride is the ride of the century! I was scared out of my pants, see, I am an 11 year old boy you think I was happy on that thing? I went all the way to the end of the boat, the top of it, and man was that scary. I kept yelling to the guy operating it, "TURN OFF THE RIDE RIGHT NOW!! THIS IS NOT FUNNYYY-NOOOOOOO!" That "no" was yelled because we went right back like a million feet into the air. The girl in the row in front of me kept telling the guy to keep going with the ride. The dude operating it was laughing when I told him to turn it off. I think he kept the ride going because I was yelling like a little girl, haha.
When we got off, I was scared and needed to relax so we got onto a little coaster called the "Ladybug Express", I think. It was acturally pretty good! For a 5 year old ride that is. It was relaxing to just go on that after the scariness of the pirate ship. It was a nice little ride, comfortable for me enough.
After that we got onto the haunted house. That was the most CRAPPIEST haunted house ever... Two of my favorite rides were being tested for the first day so we couldn't go on it. The frisbee, and Adventure falls. The frisbee was being tested, but the water one was not working because of the water not being there I guess?
We jumped off the haunted house and went on the "Crocidile Run Jet Ski" ride. That was the most cheapest ride ever, but, whatever. The breeze spinning in circles was nice We got onto the bumper cars after that, and went onto probably my second favorite ride there...
"The Hurricane Coaster!" Oh gosh, that was scary for me. When the ride was going up..BOOM. It stopped, in the middle of going up the first hill. They got some engineers, I screamed "FINAL DESTINATION!" And then I enjoyed a scary ride, one of the best rides there.
After that we got onto a swinging ride thing, you sit on a swing and it spins you around. All in all it was a pretty fun, relaxing day. Of course I'd rather go to Six Flags but, it was nice. I just wish the frisbee was open. I'll post some pictures now, BUT... There not mine. They are just pictures from there site.
Oh, and, it was a pretty good opening day. No lines! We left early because my cousin gets nautious quick. I don't though. By the way, he is 14. He threw up in the car
We re-rode many rides. We also rode the Pirate Ship again, except went in the middle the second time. It was MUCH shorter this time, my aunt was watching us. Like she did the whole day.. She said it was shorter. Probably because I wasn't yelling "TURN OFF THE BOAT!" I think the guy operating it before got a kick out of that. But, I didn't say anything this time, and it was a girl operating it the second time.
Pretty fun, relaxing day all in all. I loved the experience!
The bumper cars.
The front of the Haunted House.
The greatest ride in the world!! Lmao, NOT.
The Ladybug express. Pretty cool.
The wave swing. This is what got my cousin very nautious. Except, he was already nautious before.
At top of adventure falls, except this was also closed on opening day.
The hurricane..*shivers*
The ride of my life! I sat at the end so imagine the fear!
The frisbee, which was being tested for the day.
That's me, you think a guy like this would be happy riding the pirate ship?
