  1. Wow, really??? You did this??? What an asshole. The verification process is that they are actually putting some trust in people not to crash the morning EMH sessions. It's people like you that will make it so they have to put more rules and restrictions into place at the parks. Oh, and you're banned from our forum.
  2. Twister 360 Degree Video: (Watch using the Facebook mobile app!) We have arrived at one of my favorite "traditional" amusement parks! @gronalund! Upon entering @GronaLund we are immediately given lots of beer! Yet one more reason why we love this place! First we were given as much beer as we could drink followed by plates of meat! We love @GronaLund! Games at @GronaLund you actually have to WORK for to get a prize! But they are damn fun and the prize is WORTH it! Garbles wanted a little bit of popcorn... Grona Lund has three awesome tower rides and next year they will add a fourth "Falcon's Fury" style! This fun house @GronaLund is seriously kick ass and it will KICK your ass!!! Jetline @gronalund might be one of the oldest coasters in Sweden but it still really kicks ass! Twister is a fantastic @thegravitygroup woodie built in a very tight space! Was a great first night hanging out @gronalund! Will be back tomorrow! Good morning from @GronaLund! Mattias, Johan, and Peter once again welcome us to their amazing park! Starting the morning off right @GronaLund with some rides on Jetline! Next up was the wild mouse @gronalund which is one of the best in the world! Intertwined with other rides! In honor of Sarah being scared of dark rides, we did a dark ride tour @GronaLund with one of the ride designers! Peter showed Sarah all the dark ride prop gags with lights on so she could face her fears! And then half way trough he turned off all the lights and scared the bejesus out of her! lol It was epic! Dark ride tour was great! The new version of the ride has all kind of cool tricks in it! Taking a few more rides on Twister! @gronalund's insanely compact but amazing @thegravitygroup woodie! To get truly "Insane" rides on Insane we put Sarah on one side, Jere & Garbles on the other! [twitter] [/twitter] We then put the big boys on one side and @gronalund's Mattias on the other! Thankfully he came back alive! Kristen got to ride Eclipse with Mattias @gronalund's owner. She loved it! Remember that time when we CLIMBED @gronalund's 400 foot tall Eclipse? Video: Sarah is about to enter House of Nightmares. Did we mention she is deathly afraid of haunted houses? WATCH THIS VIDEO!!!! [twitter] [/twitter] The many faces of Sarah while in @gronalund House of Nightmares! lol I love parks that have year-round haunts and @gronalund's House of Nightmares is just fantastic! House of Nightmares was really well done! Lots of great sets & props! Getting photos of @gronalund Twister can be tough since it's so compact and twisted! It's impressive @thegravitygroup managed to get the Twister track safely through that Jetline support! When you don't have a lot of room you build rides on top of buildings and rides on top of other rides! The girls are BACK at the fun house again! Took another trip through the @gronalund fun house which really is one of the best in the world! Two reasons why I love visiting European parks! [twitter] [/twitter] This gives you an idea of the layout of @GronaLund in Sweden. Super compact park loaded with awesome! I just love the ridiculously huge boxes of candy you can win from the games @gronalund! Here is a unisex restroom which has existed in Sweden for YEARS without any issue. Why can't this work in America? I love that @gronalund converted a side of their drop tower to a stand-up! [twitter] [/twitter] The level of disturbing things you'll see standing in line @gronalund dark ride is the stuff acid trips are made of! Elissa totally kicked those damn mole's assess!!! Garbles slung his shot and became a VIP here @gronalund! There is just a beautiful European feel about @gronalund I mean, it IS in Europe after all! The sad & pathetic are getting in their kiddie coaster credits. Awwww... Romance on the @gronalund Tunnel of Love ride! This ride needs more killer whales... Meeting some fun characters hanging out @gronalund today! [twitter] [/twitter] This new Asian food offering @gronalund was really good! We ordered Dan a beer @gronalund and this is what we got! I cannot pronounce the name of this restaurant @gronalund but it is damn good! We were all given VIP backstage passes for the @BlocParty concert @GronaLund tonight! Having a great time watching @BlocParty @gronalund from the VIP area! Cheers to #BlocParty! Absolutely FANTASTIC visit to @gronalund in Sweden today! One of the top traditional amusement parks in the world! OH! ONE MORE THING! If you have made it this far, then you need to respond to the following... Filthy hobo or an actual VIP? Reply with your vote now!
  3. Do you ever ask an intelligent question??!?!
  4. ^ Thanks for all your great responses! See you guys next year!
  5. I also want to make it clear that they aren't "complaints" in any way. I have absolutely nothing to complain about at the park. Areas of slight improvement? Maybe. But not "complaints." Personally, I cannot stand people who go around park complaining and nit picking things.
  6. I didn't say top 5. But my top three resorts in the world would be (Not really in this order): Tokyo Disney Walt Disney World Europa Park
  7. Guys - Those of you who are making assumptions about this - The Orlando project is ALREADY FUNDED. This is for future Polercoasters. And these are the guys who have made some VERY successful ventures over the years (Skycoaster, iFly, etc) so it's not as though they are anyone new to the amusement business. If you're not interested, don't invest. No need to be insulting and rude on top of it.
  8. Day three @europa_park has begun! Great advice from @europa_park! [twitter] [/twitter] It is a fresh crepe kind of morning here @europa_park! Time for the ice skating show! Wow!!! The @europa_park ice show was just FANTASTIC! No spoilers, but DON'T MISS IT!!! Day three of @europa_park means day three of Raclette! Who can guess what park we are at now? Just a few more Poffertjies before we have to leave @europa_park! [twitter] [/twitter] The station for Blue Fire @europa_park! Talk about some seriously fast operations! [twitter] [/twitter] Europa Park sure does love their giant balls! [twitter] [/twitter] Blue Fire @europa_park really is a kick-ass amazing ride! Had to ride it a few more times today! The Haunted House @europa_park includes some creepy and funny characters! Very Disney-like in its style. Always really liked the look of this airplane ride! There is a shout out to @quassyamusement in the lobby of @europa_park Hotel Bell Rock! You can almost see Garbles & Sarah in the front seat! Ending our 3-day visit to @europa_park with a last ride on Euro-Mir! Had a great 3-day visit to one of my top 3 parks in the world! @europa_park! See you again in about 15 months! EDIT: So Europa asked us "Is there anything we an do better?" and even the most perfect resort probably has a few things that you may think "I wonder why they do this?" or "I'm a little surprised by...." and while there really are not many things I can think of, these are a couple of questions/comments since they asked: 1. No "Virtual Queue" option. I get that Europa Park prides themselves on capacity and their queues are some of the fastest I've ever stood in with some of the best operations, but having said that, just about everyone in our group would have been willing to spend 50EUR each to not have to wait 35 minutes for Blue Fire or Silver Star every time they wanted to ride. And the reality is they probably would be out spending money on some of the amazing food while they wait! 2. Speaking of food - The park has some of the best food items we have ever had at the park: Raclette, fresh Crepes, Poffertjies, Gelato, Burrata, Waffles on a Stick, the list goes on and on... and as much as we loved the food, we felt the wait times at many of the food stands took quite a while. Now would we rather wait for freshly made crepes, Raclette right off the grill over pre-made warmed up items? Absolutely! But there were a few times where it seems a bit long. 3. Beverages at more food stands - There were quite a few times we were looking for a "Bottle of soda or water" and found many snack stands that did not sell any drinks at all. A fridge stocked with water, coke, coke zero, sprite, even just a small handful of options would have been nice. None of these things detracted from our visit at all, and we had to really stop and *think* about things we would say needed improvement or we would question, so that speaks volumes for the park. I hate writing anything even remotely negative about one of my favorite places in the world because I understand that it's impossible to be "perfect" in every way possible, but when someone asks, I'll at least respond with a couple of things, because saying "Oh, no, there is nothing at all you can do to improve" also wouldn't be totally honest.
  9. This is a thread about Wildfire. If you'd like to discuss Lightning Rod, please do it in the Dollywood thread, not here. Thank you.
  10. I'm getting really sick of all these annoying and stupid comments from "armchair developers." What the hell do YOU actually know about the project?!?!? Nothing. I'll tell you want *I* know about the project from talking to the guy who is building it on a very regular basis: - The project IS FUNDED. - The project has approval from the county (and remember this only happened like 6 months ago) - They needed to finish building and open Mango's BEFORE they could start on this project (again, this only happened a few months ago) - They still need to build a parking garage which is currently about to start construction - There are several businesses on the corner of Sand Lake & I-Drive which they own the parcels of land they sit on, but those businesses still need to close and be demolished before they can even even start construction. What annoys me is how stupid people are being about this entire thing. This isn't like one roller coaster going into some vacant area of a park that can go up in a matter of a few months. This is an entire entertainment complex that has a LOT of moving parts and things that need to happen before "shovels can hit the dirt." If you think this project has the ability to just pop up in 6 months, you're really really incorrect with your assumptions. This is a project more along the lines of the Orlando Eye, which if you remember, was approved in September 2012 but didn't open until May 2015. It's a HUGE undertaking, but it will happen. Have patience, stop with the dumb posts, and trust us when we say we have some very close first-hand information.
  11. Um... Did you not notice we posted the price list????
  12. Full POV rendering: And some more Polarcoaster info: http://www.thrillcorp.com
  13. You're the first person I've seen report that and in every picture and video I've seen of the ride the boats were all full. So I think your situation may not be the norm. I have sat four to a row all the time on Maelstrom so I can't imagine that wouldn't be the same for Frozen.
  14. I added this video to our Holiday Park report: PS. and yes, I know that 24 flips is not a huge amount especially for those who are obsessed with rides, go all the time, and know how to flip this thing 50-70 times (as we've been told many times by people who feel the need to brag about their count) but for a *NORMAL HUMAN* - one that doesn't go to parks every day, constantly obsess over rides, and don't know the inner-workings of every theme park attraction, going upside down 24 times on *ANYTHING* is a huge deal and not something that most people will ever do. This video was created for "fun" not for some weird competition for other people to be all "WELL...I can do this SOOOO MUCH better than YOU!" I just wanted to put that disclaimer out there because the internet full of ride nerds have already told me how much I suck at doing this ride...and I frankly don't really care.
  15. We are back @europa_park for day two of our visit! This morning we are trying out the VR coasters @europa_park! The system works surprisingly well and is lots of fun! Attention to detail @europa_park is incredible. These statues at Wodan that move their heads when the train arrives! Wodan @europa_park is one of only a few wooden roller coasters in Germany! [twitter] [/twitter] Blue Fire is a huge fan favorite roller coaster @europa_park! Who loves this ride? [twitter] [/twitter] Adding a giant ball to bumper cars to create "football bumper cars" is a GREAT idea! From the top of Silver Star @europa_park you can see almost the entire layout! [twitter] [/twitter] I love this. I'm not sure why. But I love it! lol The group hung out with Arthur today @europa_park! Such a fun ride! Love Poseidon! Got a group of us to ride it today! This 1900s Carousel is open only for private events @europa_park! It's a piece of amusement history! Lunch today was some great Italian at Hotel Colosseo! Taking a few rides on Euro-Mir tonight! Love this funky ride! Dinner tonight is over at the Saloon in the @europa_park campground! This area is super cute & awesome! Seriously great ribs, steaks, & burgers! A hidden gem @europa_park resort! Our "anti-social social networking" table! lol Super huge thanks to Jakob, Denise, and everyone @europa_park for a FANTASTIC day! Getting back to our hotel we saw some of @europa_park lit up! Looks amazing! What an awesome day today! Follow our trip LIVE on Twitter!
  16. Where are we getting this 900-1000 person/hour ride calculation? Screamscape? I really would question that number. It's pretty rare to see ANY Disney boat-based attraction getting less than 1,400 - 1,800 per hour. The boats have four rows and they can hold 4-5 guests per row. They seem to be dispatching about every 35-40 seconds. So does that add up to only 900-1000? I don't think that number is accurate.
  17. Obviously this is only based on reports, but if this is actually what's going on, it's pretty brutal. This may be one instance where FastPass Plus has turned out to be a bad idea. Don't believe everything you read on the internet, I booked Fastpasses for it within the available 30 day window this morning. Exactly! I just went into the FP+ system and while it took a couple of refreshes, I got a Frozen ride FP for later this week to show up no problem. I think Lance has always been a bit anti-Disney so his "report" doesnt surprise me.
  18. It means wherever you are viewing them from has Twitter blocked as at the moment I am just using Twitter as a hosting service for the pics until I can get home and re-upload them all.
  19. Our morning @europa_park starts with an insane breakfast at the amazing Hotel Bell Rock with characters! I could easily live off the bread selection alone at Hotel Bell Rock! Hotel Bell Rock is ridiculous! It's like the Yacht Club/Beach Club of Europe, but even nicer! Upon entering @europa_park you are immediately reminded you're in one of the world's best theme parks! Euro-Mir! My faveodte ride @europa_park and quite possibly one of the best rides on the planet! Poseidon is quite possibly the best water coaster in the world! Even with a line that long for Euro-Mir the wait is only 20 minutes and worth it! I don't get what the big deal about @europa_park is. I mean don't ALL parks in America look JUST LIKE THIS??? Sarah RAN to go get a picture of the geese as soon as she saw them! Silver Star is the tallest coaster @europa_park! 35 min posted wait was only 20ish. Love their operations here! The best attraction @europa_park isn't a ride, it's our own personal Raclette Hut! Best theme park food EVER!!! Best part about sitting in our Raclette Hut? You get an awesome view of the bobsled! Was awesome running into these guys from @EPFANS_CH here at @europa_park! Be sure to follow them! I love the random characters you meet around @europa_park! [twitter] [/twitter] Efteling had the pooping donkey but @europa_park has the puking donkey! [twitter] [/twitter] Just more amazing theming around @Europa_Park! I never get sick of posing more photos of this place! And in case you weren't aware, the many dark rides @europa_park are amazing! Disney level quality! Arthur was a super-cool themed attraction with a amazing ride system! Waiting in the well-themed queue for the bobsled ride @europa_park Hotel Colosseo @Europa_Park, one of our favorite resorts had an awesome setup for #EURO2016 today! Waffle on a stick??? Are you kidding me!!! Seriously @europa_park why must you make us even fatter??? Setting off on our jungle adventure! It's like Ellen's Energy Adventure but without Ellen! Some views of @europa_park from the observation tower. Yes, it's a Pirates knock-off, but it's really the best one! Soooo... Time to remove the UK section from @europa_park? The much better version of "Small World!" You know you are in a great park when even the toilets are heavily themed! We rode the REAL "Frozen Ride" today! We had some extra ride time on Wodan tonight after the park closed! Back at Hotel Bell Rock. Seriously amazing deluxe resort! We walked to Hotel Colosseo to hang out in the "jail cell bar." Things may have gotten a little weird! Showing some German support for #EURO2016 Am I the only who thinks it looks like Garbles is trying to eat this woman's arm??? Good night @europa_park! What a fantastic first day at the resort!
  20. ^ No worries! Keep following on Twitter! We will have lots more posts coming soon!
