This doesn't make any sense at all. Are you saying that the ride could have just "magically" had some sort of problem that couldn't be traced back to any human or mechanical error??!!! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! Seriously people. Are you all just TRYING to get quoted in the "dumbest thing posted to TPR" thread? Please tell me that is the case because it makes me lose sleep at night thinking people could actually be this stupid. No, not at all. Example of specific issues: restraint failure, inadequate weight, etc Example of issue harder to pinpoint: the front of the raft lifted up due to variable forces - which there are a lot of in anything with water - aligning just right (or "magic") I'm not saying this is what caused the accident, but there's a possibility that there was not one specific failure that can be pinpointed (happens all the time). If that's the case, it will be harder (if not impossible) to correct it, make the public feel safe, and reopen. Or maybe his restraint failed and they simply need different restraints. Again, completely dependent upon the findings of the investigation. Please stop. You're just following up one incredibly stupid post with an even dumber idiotic post. Let me just be the one to say it to you so we can save other people from reading your garbage: You know nothing about what you are writing about. No additional words by you will make a stronger case that you know what you are writing about. Stop posting in this thread. Go find another thread to post it. This is how I deal with most posts on the internet these days. I like that method! Personally though my method is "just insult them enough until they either finally go away which will improve the overall quality of the posts or they will realize they are being stupid and will try harder not to be such a huge idiot in future posts." Superman at Kentucky Kingdom and Fujin Raijin II were also not signature flagship attractions at either park. And also a death or injury of any sort in Japan is taken far more seriously than any accident in the states. Having said that though, I'm not sure how I would predict the outcome of the ride's future. Look at the Smiler accident. While no one was killed in that the media blitz behind it was absolutely CRAZY and that ride still re-opened. And I'm sure that because it was a signature flagship attraction at the park had a lot to do with it re-opening. So maybe the question should instead be:

Add me to the list of who are shaking their heads every time someone says this ride is "not necessary" because using that logic rides like Millennium Force or Formula Rossa or Kingda Ka are not necessary either so you might as well tear them down. But then I have to remind myself that we now have a lot of insanely stupid people on our forums who are unable to construct a rational intelligent thought so they just vomit words at the screen thinking that by writing anything it will make them appear as though they have some sort of knowledge on the subject. For a moment I had forgotten that the world has become stupid. Need to keep reminding myself why I don't even bother to post stuff on our own TPR forum anymore because humanity is just going down the shitter. I get this. And in a way I sort of understand how a lot of the RMC's feel similar to each other, the same way that a lot of B&Ms and GCI's feel similar to each other. But a couple of things here... 1. I actually WASN'T expecting the airtime that Storm Chaser delivered based on early reviews. (I'm happy to report the ride has broken in and is WAAAAAY better than people first made it out to be.) 2. I'd much MUCH rather have parks keep trying to make a "top 5 ride" over and over again with companies like RMC or Intamin delivering kick-ass rides over "settling" with companies like GCI or B&M which build, IMO, solid rides, but don't crack a lot of "top ten" lists. I agree, they can't all be top 5 A+ rides, but dammit, I far more appreciate that there are companies & parks out there recently trying to keep making them over delivering a bunch of B+ rides which the trend seemed to be heading a few years prior.

Wow! Those are the first non positive reviews I've ever read of Storm Chaser and Lightning Run. Strangely it was almost refreshing to read a different point of view on this park. I'm still looking forward to visiting sometime soon. Thanks for the TR. While I get that it's one persons opinion versus another, but if he's allowed to have an opinion of the rides, I'm allowed to have an opinion of his opinion and IMO the guy sounds like a complete pussy when it comes to extreme rides. Seriously, Lightning Run and Storm Chaser are two of the most insane OMFG rides I've ever experienced, especially when it comes to airtime. You hit the brake runs on both rides going WTF JUST HAPPENED?!?!??! And you pretty much have to be a pussy to not appreciate that. Sounds like he should stick to rides like Big Thunder Mountain. There. That's my review on his review! lol

We have arrived at one of our favorite amusement parks in the world! Knoebels! Starting our visit to Knoebels with a lights on tour of their awesome Haunted Mansion! Which one is the monster and which one is the guy who runs TPR? Oh wait, they are both monsters! Drew gave a fantastic tour through Knoebels Haunted Mansion! He's got a real passion for the ride! Drew pointed out some low-tech but effective gags. Like using a painted toy football for a monsters eye! Backstage tour of the Haunted House always results in some fun photo opportunities! Took a ride on Impulse at Knoebels. Nice to see them install a fun, smooth steel coaster! Cesari's Pizza is LEGIT!!! Make sure this is one of your many food stops at Knoebels! Phoenix at Knoebels. Still delivering one of the world's best wooden coaster rides! Do not let the Flyers fool you! This simple looking ride at Knoebels is CRAZY fun! Elissa just won cover-all!!! Fascination is one of many fun things to do at Knoebels! Check out this AWESOME 360 Degree Video we made of the Knoebels bumper cars! They are just insane! (Watch in the YouTube app on your phone!) Our next stop was an announced "surprise" visit to Kennywood! This was a quick stop mostly for filming the coasters, but we always say that a "short visit to a park is better than no visit!" For the next stop on our trip, we just follow the yellow arrows to Kennywood! We have arrived at Kennywood! There is a reason why "Potato Patch" fries at Kennywood are insanely popular! The Racer is a super classic & fun coaster! It's also "interactive!" Best part of Kennywood's Racer is the interaction with the other train! You'll need to watch this in the YouTube app on your phone, but check out this amazing 360 degree video we shot of the Racer! Click: The famous "ravine drop" on Phantom's Revenge at #Kennywood! At 85mph, Phantom's Revenge is still one of the top ten fastest roller coasters in the USA! We love the great selection of "flat rides" that Kennywood has! Thunderbolt is one of three awesome wood coasters at Kennywood! "No single riders!" The "Turtle" is a #Kennywood classic! One of the few left in the world! Noah's Ark is another #Kennywood Classic! Part fun-house, part walk-through dark ride! It's great! "12 minutes of free A/C!" lol Sky Rocket launches you real fast and then does some twisty stuff! lol You will find all kinds of "traditional" rides at Kennywood which is what makes the park so great! For being a "traditional" amusement park Kennywood is beautifully landscaped & decorated. You want some pretty crazy airtime? Jack Rabbit at Kennywood delivers!!! I actually never had an issue with the old restraints. The ride is SO GOOD that the restraints didn't really bother me. But yes, it is better now if only that it mean that any pussies that would complain about the restraints before have NOTHING to complain about now!

To be honest I feel the Dive Machines all feel very similar, but that's not a bad thing because I really like this style of ride so that means Valravn gets a big thumbs up from me!

We have just made it to @CedarPoint! Spending the next couple of days at America's roller coast! One of my favorite sights in the world! The @CedarPoint skyline crossing the causeway! Love being back @CedarPoint! 15 minutes for Raptor??? We picked a very good day to visit @cedarpoint! Starting our day @cedarpoint on Blue Streak! Why? Because it's a classic and it's awesome! A few things have changed here @cedarpoint since our last visit! Looking forward to all the new stuff! Just got off Millennium Force @cedarpoint! What an awesome ride! The @CedarPoint mine ride! Another oldie but goodie! Just did the VR test on Iron Dragon @CedarPoint! It was great! Really added some extra fun to an older ride! The Iron Dragon VR test is being done @cedarpoint in the evening. Sign up and get a return time. It's really fun! Dinner @FamousDaves located in the marina next to @cedarpoint! This trip is what I like to call our "extended family" - a small group of people whom we've known most of them for around 10 years. We don't travel in "open" groups at the moment, only close friends and family, sorry.

Starting our visit to at Kings Island off awesome with rides on Banshee! Love this coaster!!! Wow! Been a great morning filming at Kings Island! Work is done... Now time to have FUN!!! You know what's a great way to wake up in the morning? Riding Diamondback at Kings Island! I have not been the biggest fan of newer B&Ms but I absolutely *LOVE* Banshee! So at Kings Island is doing "Christmas in July" today and they legit have Christmas trees up and music playing! lol Always nice to see some love given to an Arrow suspended coaster! The Bat. My #RetroGaming friends should appreciate this display at Kings Island! Getting some great "behind the scenes" pics of The Beast. Soaking wet faces at Kings Island. No "Christmas in July" would be complete without Santa Claus! Did you know he spends his summer at Kings Island. When it's busy at Kings Island they put on the super long train on Banshee! What's your favorite inversion on Vortex at Kings Island? The loops, the corkscrews or the batwing? The Racer at Kings Island is an absolute CLASSIC! Are you "Team Red" or "Team Blue?" Tower photo...
