  1. I ordered a couple of the DVD's including this one a little before Thanksgiving. I've spent the last two weeks pouncing on the mailman, trying to beat my boyfriend from accidently getting his own Christmas present. It's been quite a hysterical effort on my part to keep this a secret. I'm sure hoping I get these soon, otherwise the mailman is going to be referring to me as the crazy lady that attacks him every day!
  2. I went to WDW back in 1989. We were on spring break in Florida and my best friend is crazy about Mickey Mouse so we took a day out of our trip to head over there. It was ok, but I don't really have any desire to go there or any other Disney park again.
  3. Have to agree it's LoCoSuMo, but it so tripped me out, that I loved it. I remember my first reaction to the bear, I thought I was hallucinating. (stuffed bear with Mardi Gras beads, WTF!), I asked Mark if he saw it and he said no. Luckily our second ride proved it was no hallucination. Sorry to say to all you Cornball Express Lovers, but LoCoSuMo was my favorite ride at Indiana Beach!
  4. We certainly had a blast! Things I liked Morning ERT on MF My first rides on Maverick Night ERT on Dragster, including being on the last train of the night in the back seat) Geauga Lake, which surprised me with how much I hear on this board, the rides were super fun and we had an all over great day at the park Things I didn't Like Some of the 'tude GL employees had, just seemed unfriendly Seeing RWB with the tarp over it, it definitely creeped me out Waking up for the morning ERT at CP, rumor has it I told Mark to go F himself when he tried to wake me at 4:30
  5. Well, I can't speak for Mark because we sometimes have different reasons for why we like particular coasters. I WANTED to love Cornball Express just because of the name alone. I like rollercoasters for the following basic reasons, if it makes me giggle, makes gasp in shock and/or gets me up outta my seat. Those reasons make a ride fun for me. Cornball did none of those things, no matter what seat we tried. Really. On another note, I wish Mark had got a picture of the ride OP on the drop ride. That Op asked if we could check our own harnesses because he was feeling too lazy to get back up. (we had ridden and asked for a reride since there wasn't anyone else waiting)
  6. I love quoting from that movie, and that was a perfect picture to use the Soul Glo reference for. Very cool that you like themeparks and coasters, even with them making you feel sick. I have a brother that's the same way, loves going to parks, but is content holding bags, watching any kids with the group, etc., because coasters make him sick. Back before there were kids to watch, he was content taking a book into a park and reading while we waited in lines. Glad to see you here on TPR!
  7. I prefer the front right. Last time I deviated from that, the ensuing a$$ kicking was not fun. I'm one of those coaster nuts who prefer fun over painful, wanna drive straight to my chiropractor, boob bruising a$$ kickings. Not that it's wrong if that's what you're into!
  8. Nice finish for the trip report. I've been begging Mark that we should go to Idlewild. I just HAVE to go to Mr. Rogers Neighborhood. On another note, after we both bemoaned no penny smasher machines at Holiday World, I sent off an email and just yesterday got a response from RavenMaven. Happy to report the next time you go to Holiday World, be sure to bring those quarters and pennies. Apparently the machines got installed at the park sometime after Holiwood Nights.
  9. Hey Rick, if I tell you they have a penny smashing machine at every rest area on the turnpike, will that coerce you guys to make an Ohio coaster trip soon?
  10. I'm totally envious of your growing smashed penny collection. My latest ones were from GL and, if you can believe it, the Ohio Turnpike rest stops. I'm really thinking I have to convince Mr. Monkey Pants to do a Pennsylvania trip. Say hi to Gyendolynne for me!
  11. For the record, Saturday was my first trip to Geauga Lake, and I had a blast. Loved the park and look forward to going back again. That might not be a popular opinion here, but that's how I felt after a fun day at the park. We came not expecting much, figured we'd be in and out in a few hours, and instead we closed the place out.
  12. Well, I was at GL yesterday, and I can assure you it is no rumor. It was quite sad seeing the tarped train on the track. I was thankful that we slept in yesterday and didn't go into the park until well after it happened. I'm not a nervous nilly rider, but seeing that might have dampened the day for sure.
  13. <---------- Lori's TPR name!!! Hey Rick Great trip report. Mr. Monkey Pants & myself had a blast hanging out with you & Gyendolynne. Glad to hear Chang lived up to your expectations. We had a great time at Indiana beach and Cedar Point. I think Mark is working on a trip report with all the details. Say hi to Gyendolynne, hope to catch up with you guys again, and don't forget, stay away from Charlie!
  14. What a great idea for a wedding! I love how you have your flowers in almost all the pictures on the rides. Congratulations on your special day.
  15. THat was my first park and my first coaster.....I can clearly remember being scared out of my mind while waiting in line with my aunt, who was not happy at being dragged on a coaster.
