  1. Busch parks deliver the best name for coasters. Montu, Kraken, Kumba, Gwazi, Griffon, Alpengeist, Apollos Chariot, Manta are all great coaster name. Six Flags can sometimes pick good names, Such as Nitro and Tatsu, Goliath, Medusa (despite its weird theme) It is hard for me to Pick a top ten favorite But I think Gwazi, Kraken and Montu are my favorite names, mainly because of the story behind them
  2. I disagree with that, I would say BGE is the flagship park. Buddy...Officially, SWO is the Flagship park SWO has been the flagship park for a while, hence one of the reasons they moved their headquarters to Orlando. BUSCH ENTERTAINMENT CORPORATION ANNOUNCES MANAGEMENT SHIFT November 1, 2007 (Clayton, Mo.) – Busch Entertainment Corporation (BEC), the family entertainment subsidiary of Anheuser-Busch Cos., today announced a shift in senior management to fill vacancies created by last week’s transition of Keith M. Kasen to Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer and Jim Atchison from SeaWorld Orlando General Manager to BEC President and Chief Operating Officer. Daniel B. Brown, 53, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Busch Gardens Africa and Adventure Island in Tampa, Fla., will assume the same position in BEC’s flagship park, SeaWorld Orlando. Brown also will oversee the operation of Discovery Cove and Aquatica, a SeaWorld water park scheduled to open next spring. ........the rest is not related to the topic. Just letting you know that SWO is the official Flahship park
  3. And you know what is funny....Scorpion was repainted again before summer. Ok it is actually more sad. But they tried to pressure wash it but then it gets all dirty again As for Gwazi running one side, they usually do that when it is not that busy. But they def. run both sides when it is busy. They have been trying to duel the coasters when they are running both sides.
  4. They really looked like they were ahead of schedule, something that BGA sometimes lack...Well they stay ahead, they just do not finish up completely. This is promising. Another reason why SWO is the Flagship park of BEC
  5. Well there are 3 Xmas show. (Christmas on Ice, Christmas Celebration and Christmas from the heart, I like the first 2..) Definitely see the shows! You can skip Christmas from the heart. All the rides are open...The crowds will probably not be as crowded. Just do not go after Dec 25th, that is our busiest week. I dunno when school lets out, and it will be busy. They do have quick queue to skip the lines, but I do not recommended. Just come in early and leave late. There are decorations through out the park but not to the extent of Disney or Universal. If you are in the army, navy, whatever, You can get in free and some of your family members free was well. Check their website or called them. As far as a discount or coupons..I have no idea. Busch Gardens Website Hope this helps out a bit
  6. Was this place built over a lake with islands?
  7. I wonder why is it so bad on Kumba...Montu's paint is still looking awesome. After a yr Kumba started rusting again. I wonder if they can do something about it
  8. Well...Welcome to Orlando. I can't believe you rode Gwazi 9 times in a row...ouch! Never thought someone could handle so much lol
  9. Those trees with the pretty pink flowers are a pain in the a**. But still beautiful. I never noticed the jungala rock spelling thing...lol
  10. This ride looks more twisted than other flyers and it has a longer drop than Tatsu (by 2 ft lol ). Hopefully it will be a top 10. Knowing BEC skill of making B&M awesome, I think they could pull of a great ride here. Let just hope they really spark an interest in making flyers.
  11. That is pretty cool! Well I think the coaster is looking great. And I love the mountains in the background..
  12. lol...Wow..Sunglasses falling out from that ride....That is rocket science! lol
  13. lol. That is awesome! I can't wait to see it...I do think they should of filmed it from the ride operators perspective..lol...but oh well!
  14. I see where your coming from, because the layout is allot more compact and twisty than previous B&M flyers. I wouldn't say more intense though, I'd say it looks more fast paced and exiting than other B&M flyers. It seems to me that the past B&M flyers have only been able to create an experience similar to wave swingers; Its a fun ride and a nice way to feel the sensation of being swept over landscape and people and other things, yet it gets really boring after a while. With Manta, it seems that B&M has finally managed to get past the handicap on flyers, which is having awkward G-forces because of the unusual riding position. Now finally i think they're going to make flyers that are very fast, smooth and unpredictable, just like Batman the Ride. Its great to see B&M flyers reach more potential. Lets hope that is true
  15. They have a nice foliage in place so far
  16. OMG YES! This is seriously making me impatient. I am getting the same feeling I got when SheiKra was being built
  17. The inline twist after the downward helix looks like is going to be an awesome element
  18. You know what? Looking at some pictures of Superman at SFGadv., there doesn't appear to be much difference in angle. ...So perhaps he wasn't mistaken. yeah I noticed the same thing
  19. If there is a sound system, how would it work for woddies that are really loud?
  20. I hope BEC is spun off...
  21. hmmm...the lift is the same angle as the other flying coaster? I wonder if he knows how steep the others one are. maybe it does look like it is steeper but it is not
  22. launch and audio compatible....wow..wouldn't that ruin the whole feel of a wooden coaster? oh well, it still is a neat idea
  23. yes!! i want more inline twist. I hope its a half to!
