The track itself is now complete, as can be seen in the new update from totay(27-07-2007) on http://www.themeparkdenmark.dk/gallery/Dshowthumb.php?mainroot=denmark&middleroot=bonbon-land&lowroot=hankatten%20-%2027-07-2007 The coaster have been delayed due to a fire last week in the station that damged some of the theming and other things, and got in though with 3 sections of track that have since been removed and waiting for new track to replace them. The park hopes to open the coaster on the 14th of july, and maybe sooner. Well, i think it looks ugly with all that blue steel, as some of the supports also i blue, as can be seen in the pictures, and that just dont look good, i think. All the supports should have been yellow, as most of them also is. That would have looked alot better... But well, i'm looking forward to ride it when i get home fra vacation in alittle more then two weeks...

There is finaly a new photo update of Hankatten at BonBon-Land. The ride is about 60-70% complete, and it looks very nice and very fun, i think. I personaly love the color and design of the coaster, and can wait to ride it later this year, most likely in july. As Nomis said, the ride is most likely going to be delayed, becourse there was a fire in the operator room, which burned completly done, thursday evening. The ride is most likely going to be delayed a few days, but the park havnt desided on it let. The thing Nomis said, that the delay is becourse of an technical problem, i havnt heard anything about, so i dont know how true that is. Link to the photos: http://www.themeparkdenmark.dk/gallery/Dshowthumb.php?mainroot=denmark&middleroot=bonbonland&lowroot=hankatten%20construction%20june%2018th%202007 The nicely and funny themed car... Well, what can i say more then it just is a very nice coaster, and that i cant wait to ride it... Another photo of the nice looking coaster... I love the color and the nice design...

LEGOLAND Billiund 2007

The 20-02-2007-update is new online... http://www.themeparkdenmark.dk/gallery/Dshowthumb.php?mainroot=denmark&middleroot=legoland%20billund&lowroot=legoland%20atlantis%20-%2020-02-2007 Now, you can really see the awesome theming... Please give your throghs about what you see and think about the project... And to hype the park more, i can say that 2008 is the 40 years annoversery(is that spelled correct?) for the park, and will spend about 10 million dollars(55-60 million danish krones) for the 2008 season, which most likely will be spend on a new coaster AND a water ride, and some smaller things... I can't say what the coaster and water ride is yet, but its going to be big, cool and good for the park... -

Thanks alot for the sweet words about ''my'' park I'm very happy to hear that you already have booked your trip to the park on 27 June. And yes, Atlantis WILL be open then, despite all the problems we had with last years new ride, Vikings River Splash, but that ride is going to run alot better this coming season, so be sure to get a few rides on that also... Its a great, good, and funny ride. One of the other two new things for 2007 is infact the Kennedy Space Center that were at LEGOLAND California's Miniland. Yeah, we got the lego buildings last week, so thats gonna be cool. The other thing is two new shops, one of them being a new shop where you can buy things, and the other being a themed midway games stand, with basketball, fishing, and some other games to have fun with. And btw, the atlantis-aquarium will be filled with water tomorrow, monday the 26th february. And the 1300 fish and sharks are coming on the 15th of march, with the opening on the 31th of march. -
Hey all As some of you may know i work at the orginal LEGOLAND park, LEGOLAND Billund in Denmark. And I have been following this years new attraction since they startede building/prepered for it, back in september 2006. And to those who dont know it, there are coming 3 new things this season, which the biggest one being a SeaLife-aquarium called ''LEGOLAND Atlantis'' with a awesome theme of Atlantis ofcourse, which is being made by an awesome danish theme-crew. Its not the biggest aquarium, which only 530.000 litters of water, but its build in a exsisting building, which aint that big, but i have heard a inside rumor that they may be planing the expand it in the future. You can see my photo updates here, with more coming: 19-09-2006: http://www.themeparkdenmark.dk/gallery/Dshowthumb.php?mainroot=denmark&middleroot=legoland%20billund&lowroot=legoland%20atlantis%20-%2019-09-2006 22-09-2006: http://www.themeparkdenmark.dk/gallery/Dshowthumb.php?mainroot=denmark&middleroot=legoland%20billund&lowroot=legoland%20atlantis%20-%2022-09-2006 17-12-2006: http://www.themeparkdenmark.dk/gallery/Dshowthumb.php?mainroot=denmark&middleroot=legoland%20billund&lowroot=legoland%20atlantis%20-%2017-12-2006 16-01-2007: http://www.themeparkdenmark.dk/gallery/Dshowthumb.php?mainroot=denmark&middleroot=legoland%20billund&lowroot=legoland%20atlantis%20-%2016-01-2007 24-01-2007: http://www.themeparkdenmark.dk/gallery/Dshowthumb.php?mainroot=denmark&middleroot=legoland%20billund&lowroot=legoland%20atlantis%20-%2024-01-2007 13-02-2007: http://www.themeparkdenmark.dk/gallery/Dshowthumb.php?mainroot=denmark&middleroot=legoland%20billund&lowroot=legoland%20atlantis%20-%2013-02-2007 20-02-2007: http://www.themeparkdenmark.dk/gallery/Dshowthumb.php?mainroot=denmark&middleroot=legoland%20billund&lowroot=legoland%20atlantis%20-%2020-02-2007 Please give your option on it, and tell us what you think of it... nicktheride replied to BDG's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Yeah, I'm also thinks/hopes that they will just re-theme it, and maybe get some new trains, becourse, as others have said, it't a really shame to see that coaster go, and I can't understand how the park can do that! But i'm glad I got to ride it(both sides) back in oktober 2004... -
Vikings River Splash
nicktheride replied to nicktheride's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Hey again guys. I know i've been gone from this site in a long time, but i'm back now, with something new for you guys. I was in Billund(the city where Legoland is in), to work on doing my room ready to i'm starting on my job at Legoland on the 10th aprill, and got finish in good time, so we drived by the construction site outsite the park(because i havnt got my seasonpas yet, so i didnt go into the park, and it was the first day of the season today, so...), and took 22 photos of the construction site from outsite the park. The vertical lift and the 8 meters high drop is now in place, and the station is being worked on, and the flume itself looked like it was finish. Can't wait to ride it! Check out the photos on the following link: http://www.themeparkdenmark.dk/gallery/Dshowthumb.php?mainroot=denmark&middleroot=legoland%20billund&lowroot=vikings%20river%20splash%20-%2001-04-2006 Enjoy! -

The link is fixed now... Just go to the link below: http://www.themeparkdenmark.dk/gallery/showrides.php?mainroot=denmark&middleroot=legoland%20billund -
Hey all. I just want to tell that Legoland Billund(Denmark) is adding a new Intamin rapids with a unique thing, for the 2006. The unique thing is a vertical lift(''water elevator'' as they call it themself) and a 8 meter high ''free fall'' drop at the end. The theme will be Vikings, and will have some big Lego figures, including a 4 meter tall Midgårdsorm(dont know what its called in english, but its a very big worm from the nordic myth), and a big red dragon. The ride will open on the 6th of May, but the park opens on the 1st of Aprill. I have got a job at the park, as a gardener, and i'm starting the 10th of Aprill, so i'm likely going to help and theme and plants trees and other plants, and doing the pathways/bricks around the ride. I can't wait! Facts: Built by: Intamin AG Type of ride: Rapids ride with 8 meter high ''free fall'' drop Boats/rapids: 11, with up to 9 persons each. Length: 438 meter long ride. 2 pumps, each powered by 125.000kW pumping 4000 liters a second. Price: 25 million danish kroner. Duration: Approx 5 minutes ride time. Click here to see construction and press material: http://www.themeparkdenmark.dk/gallery/showthumb.php?mainroot=denmark&middleroot=legoland%20billund&lowroot=viking%20river%20splash A drawning of the ride and area.

Intamin Halfpipe
nicktheride replied to verticalzero's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Well, if you could do both it would be awesome! I would also like to see how far the 4d coaster have gone since least. -
Well. I got off from school early today and decided to go to the park, becourse i have read on the officiel website that the steel construction would begin today, and truly it was! Most of the supports for the noisewall have been erected, and they were working at the first floor-leveled gry supports for the coaster itself, and some workers were working on adding some large and long steel beams over the river, to have the coaster go on. Also, the rest of the track and supports for the coaster have arrived, so i'm pretty sure that they have added some real supports with hopefully tracks on, when i go back to the park on friday, on the way home. I also took alot of photos today, but i can't upload them here at my school, so exept them to be uploaded sometime this coming weekend.
-
Yeah, that old coaster is alot painful, but i hope that they have bought some new trains for it this year, and as the coaster is 20 years old this yeah(1986-2006), and that it have been repainted, I think/hope that they have bought some new trains, as the old ones was REALLY painfull and there wasnt much space to yours legs, and the OTSR wasnt the best at all.
-
New update from today. Was there today, and most of the tracks and supports have finaly arrived. Nice colors, i'm just saying! Take a look for yourself below. http://www.themeparkdenmark.dk/gallery/showthumb.php?mainroot=denmark&middleroot=tivoli%20friheden&lowroot=tyfonen%20-%2010-02-2006 And this is for you, Derek!

Well. Yeah, its a awesome flat ride, not the old looping coaster. We got lifted up, and we were jsut started to spin before it slowed down again, and then the arm was being lowed down to the ground again just for a bit of time before we were lifted uo again and got a full ride. Pretty cool, i think. Yeah, its a very nice park, that not many know about, which is a shame becourse its a really nice and cool park, with a very nice atmosphere, nice and cool daily entertainment, cool concerts everly friday in june and july, and much more. I'm going back to the park this freday and hope to take some photos of the track and supports if they have arrived yet, as they are susposed to, so execpt a new update late friday or saturday(or maybe sunday, depends on if have the time to do it and so, but i'm pretty sure i/my family dont have any plans right now)

Hey all your crazy americans. lol I just wanna yet you all know of the new Zamperla Twister coaster, that is being build at my homepark, Tivoli Friheden, in Århus(the second biggest city in Denmark) right now, ready to open with the park on the 15th of Aprill this year for the parks 102th season. I've been there a few times since they started the construction of the ride, and will continue to follow it until it opens. I'm going to the ''media day'' the day before the ride officialy opens on the 14th of Aprill, and hope to get alot of photos and videos(both on-rides and off-rides) of it. Other news for the 2006 season is the repainting of theirs old Pinfari ZL42 coaster, called ''Rutschebanen'' which is denish for ''The rollercoaster''(lol... Yeah, it's not the best name... but what the fuck, it isnt the best coaster either, so... hehe). The coaster is getting brand new colors this yeah. The track is being painted black instead of the old yellow color, and the supports is being painted red instead of the old blue color. Sounds bad, right? Well, it looks very nice infact when you stand by it in real life, or in the COOL photos i have taking of the ride. And BTW, Tivoli Friheden is a very nice and special park, that i love to visit, and the Pegasus ride is to AWESOME!!! Have rode it 43½ times in the 2005 season! You can see all the updates on the gallery on Themeparkdenmark.dk below: http://www.themeparkdenmark.dk/gallery/showrides.php?mainroot=denmark&middleroot=tivoli%20friheden

Yeah. They have started pouring the footers... http://www.sixflags.com/parks/overgeorgia/ParkPress/GOLIATHconstruction.html -
Yeah. That would be the way to go, if they did the same thing they did at SFGAdv this year with The Golden Kingdom. Yeah. That would be perfect to replace the Sky Tower with some kind of free fall tower, whish they don't have yet. BTW, I have been told from my source that Orient Express will stay, but it will only be cloused during construction. So thats a good thing. I'm also very interested/exsited about that project at SFMM. Can't wait to fanally found out what the project is going to be, as like the announcement, which is likely going to be made in November, which is the mouth i'm born in. So it will be a good present for me if they announced the project on my birthday on the 21th.

Well. I can confirm that it is a custom B&M Flying coaster. I know someone that works at the park, and he has confirmed to me that it is a custom B&M Flying coaster. He has also told me a few things about the coaster. And it sound very cool. Can't wait to when it will go vertical, and to see what the coaster will look like, as like a animation of the ride or a redering/drawning/artwork/plans. Or just to the announcement.
