Well, your employer, and every major theme park chain in the country disagree with you. So deal with it. And I really, really, really, really doubt that "many employees as well as season pass holders are in agreement" and here's why.... it's soda. --Robb "Guess you'll just have to go work at Hersheypark now..." Alvey I know I don't have a choice in this matter. I have known about this change for quite some time but could not say anything for obvious reasons. I just wanted to pass along the grumblings I am hearing from the people I deal with all the time. I know the employees don't matter, but guests do, & I see them selling even less soda than they do now. Unless prices change, which I doubt.

As an employee, I hate this. I really enjoy Pepsi & hate Coke with a passion. In fact, there is not one soda on the freestyle machines I like. And many employees as well as season pass holders are in agreement. We have been giving out cans of soda in catering for about a month. I am assuming this is the reason. Many people commented that they hoped we were not switching over.

Uh huh.... That video reminds me of my only visit to this park. There were "locals" there & had two jumbo bags of marshmellows they were tossing to the bears. High quality diet, indeed.

Ok, I may be in the minority here, but I think I have visited this park for the last time. Driving thru the Safari was the ONE thing I always looked forward to. I'm tired of having to go to parks, pay admission, & then be expected to fork over more money for Rides and Attraction located inside the gates I just paid to enter. If this is going to be the case, how about parks become like Knoebels & go back to the ticket system & offer free admission. I had the pleasure of visiting with TPR on August 1 & I won't be spending 4 hours on the road to visit this park again,

Robb, I was at Knoebels on Saturday, September 3 & ran into Dick Knoebel. He said that they were hoping to have Black Diamond open by this coming weekend, not sure if it would though. Definately by Phunfest at the very latest.

This is the only ride on earth that truly frightens me. I was at the Allentown Fair in 1977 where they had a very similar ride. During operation at nearly full speed, two young girls attempted to connected & one of the swings malfunctioned. I don't recall all the specifics of the accident since I was only 5 & was some time ago, but after discussing with my mom, I believe that a bolt or clip failed and the entire chain & chair became detached from the arm of the ride.The girl flew over one stand & crashed through a speed pitch setup. I did actually witness the accident but was at the fair that night & actually remember that I was playing the Goldfish Ball toss when the Ambulance showed up.

Damn, I just got home from dinner & saw this. All the XL sold out already!

I feel sorry for CGA but happy for my home park. I may finally get to ride one of these.

I have a closer connection to the ride than most. My first ride was in 1987, a fairly new coaster at the time. I have to say that it was the best coaster I had ridden at the time. I had fond memories of riding twice that day, once at night, and the aspect of no lights on the last drop were absolutely terrifying at the time. Fast forward to the next time I had the opportunity to ride, 2006. Almost 20 years between rides. I have to say that the ride did not disappoint. As I was waiting in line, I actually got jittery feelings again, which is hard for a coaster to do. The ride itself had not changed at all for me. Nor for my Dad who was riding right next to me. He was smiling and laughing through the whole ride. I got in line to ride late that night and waited over 1 hour(so lines were long for this before the last year). We made plans to visit again the following year, but sadly, my father passed away before we could do this(just 2 weeks before we were to go too!! He was so excited!). So my last ride with him was on this wonderful roller coaster. I wish they would have auctioned off pieces of it. I would have loved to have a piece to remember our last ride.

I like Time Warp still, Time is obvious, expired because it was Tomb Raider the Ride & is no longer there, Houdini it just disappeared, Athens, Lara Croft visited there.

I'll stick with mine as well, Time Warp.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say based on the fact that it looks to be snowing in the airport picture, the escalator pic looks to be from London's Underground, & eating at their favorite restaurant which is based in London, they are in London on their way to Thorpe Park!!

Ok if the picture is a big clue, & the clue is the colors of the flag, I'm going to go with the Phillipines.

I'm basing my guess on the fact that there are no McD's where they are based on the photo with Elissa. They are in Vietnam.

Wow, if that's the case, SFA has a lot of work to do. They just opened Thomas Town & the train has Thomas for the engine. They also have a station with all the replica engines. Will be interesting.

I've been working as a monster in the Gauntlet at Dorney Park.

For you geeks out there, the site is brand new. The domain was just registered with GoDaddy on Friday. So this was their first time out probably.

Screw the rides! I want me some of that pasta. Barilla is my favorite & that flavor sounds delicious!
