  1. Perhaps S&S Sansei acted as the broker for their sale in the Japanese market (as Vekoma acts for RMC in the European market)?
  2. Coasterfriends.de found this image - It's from the fabrication plant where Intamin hardware is made. Could this be for the long-awaited Skyplex Orlando?
  3. 2018 update: Two parks now reign supreme for untouchable dual coaster combos. 1. Cedar Point: Steel Vengeance(1) + Maverick(3) = 5 2. Kings Dominion: Intimidator 305(3) + Twisted Timbers(7) = 10 3a. SFGAdv: El Toro(8) + Nitro(38) = 46 3b. Liseberg: Helix(19) + Balder(27) = 46 5. Hersheypark: Skyrush(6) + Storm Runner(44) = 50 6. Kings Island: Mystic Timbers(24) + Diamondback (33) = 57 7a. Dollywood: Lightning Rod(2) +Thunderhead(63) = 65 7b. Happy Valley: Mega-Lite(14) + Diving Coaster(51) = 65 9. Six Flags Mexico: Medusa Steel Coaster(12) + Superman el Ultimo Escape(55) = 67 10. SFNE: Superman the Ride(20) + Wicked Cyclone(50) = 70 11. Canada's Wonderland: Behemoth(23) + Leviathan(46) = 69 12. CGA: RailBlazer(16) + Gold Striker(56) = 72 13a. Europa Park: Silver Star(25) + Wodan(49) = 74 13b. Carowinds: Fury 325(15) + Intimidator(59) = 74 15. Kentucky Kingdom: Storm Chaser(34) + Lightning Run(41) = 75 Some honorable mentions that didn't quite make the cut: Taron/Black Mamba, Alpengesit/Apollo's Chariot, Outlaw Run/Wildfire, IRat/Superman, Flying Dino/Hollywood Dream Some unridden combo's to look out for that could rank: Goliath/RMC Robin Hood, SD2000/RMC White Cyclone, IRat/Wonder Woman, iSpeed/Katun, Fury 325/Copperhead Strike, Twisted Cyclone/Goliath I want to make a ranking like this for top 3 or even top 4 coaster collections!
  4. *Due to late-season openings becoming the norm lately, I'm going to count "debut season" as the first 12 months of operation. 2002: Technic Coaster - Legoland* 2005: Silver Bullet - KBF* Space Mountain - Disneyland 2006: Tastu - SFMM (Opening week) 2008: Sierra Sidewinder - KBF* Big Spin - SFDK (Opening week) 2009: Apocalypse - SFMM 2011: Green Lantern - SFGAdv Gotham City Gauntlet - SFNE Green Lantern - SFMM Road Runner Express - SFMM 2012: Manta - SWSD (Opening day!) Skyrush - Hershey Verbolten - BGW Wild Eagle - Dollywood Superman Ultimate Flight - SFDK 2013: YOLOcoaster - SFMM Coast Rider - KBF Gold Striker - CGA 2014: Undertow - SCBB* Escape From Gringott's - USO Seven Dwarfs Mine Train - WDW Speedy Gonzales - SFMM (Opening week) 2015: Twisted Colossus - SFMM (Before opening to the public!) Batman The Ride - SFFT Rewind Racers - Adventure City 2016: Flight of the Hippogriff - USH Valravn - Cedar Point Spinning Out - Beech Bend Storm Chaser - Kentucky Kingdom Coaster at Goats on the Roof - Pigeon Forge Phobia Phear Coaster - Lake Compounce Flying Dinosaur - Universal Studios Japan Joker - SFDK 2017: Lightning Rod - Dollywood* Mako - SeaWorld Orlando* 2018: Electric Eel - SWSD (Opening day!) HangTime - KBF (Before opening to the public!) RailBlazer - CGA (Before opening to the public!) Twist-N-Shout - Central Park Fun-Land Twisted Timbers - Kings Dominion Steel Vengeance - Cedar Point Adrenaline Peak - Oaks Amusement Park I'm pretty proud to have conquered the 4 new Cedar Fair coasters and utilizing my platinum pass to full advantage! Unfortunately, despite planning my Europe trip for late-June, I was still too early for Valkyria, Fenix, Eurosat 2.0, and even Holiday Park's new coaster. Oh well, I'm already looking forward to revisiting all those parks anyway!
  5. SFMM is making a huge mistake by getting the comfort collars for WCR. I advise Neil and co. to drive down to SWSD to compare the load/unload time to their own Full Thottle before it's too late. The collars are WAY slower than the seat belts and they add another level of discomfort to the already terrible Premier lapbar/seat design.
  6. WOW! Definitely my favorite announcement of 2019! This looks like a ton of fun! (And it has the comfiest trains on the planet!) Very glad it's not spinning and I love the big bump in the second launch - Thanks Carowinds
  7. Despite only being 3 elements long, it looks quite intense and I'm glad to see no OTSRs! Kinda like Storm Runner meets Dododonpa meets Xcelerator. I would've loved this at SFMM!
  8. Crazanity (SFMM) is 2 ft taller than Superman. It's probably that
  9. ^ I like it too! But neither of you guys are SFMM fanboys who have been hyping up the "20th coaster" thing for months/years. With these fanboys, there's almost guaranteed to be widespread disappointment no matter what's announced.
  10. Can you imagine the fanboy disappointment if this new coaster ends up being a racing version of Backlot Stunt Coaster?
  11. Well it's gotta be one of those...lol You've named just about every company SF can afford to work with. Except maybe Mack... Not quite every... With the park's solid partnership regarding FT, I wouldn't be surprised if they went with Premier again (As redundant as it may seem). FYI, I don't know ANYTHING and am not trying to start another unhelpful rumor, just posting my thoughts. TBF, S&S wouldn't really surprise me either, but I am guessing S&S for SFGAm and not SFMM. (Although I'd prefer if the two parks switched) Overall, it's pretty exciting how nothing substantial has really gotten leaked between these two parks
  12. In my own opinion, I'm doubting a LOT of these rumors. Mack? TRex? Raptor? Vekoma? S&S? Nah.
  13. Fortnite? Sounds like the most Six Flags-type of franchise grab ever... I believe it
  14. Definitely legit permit from the FAA website. The footer map we saw earlier looks B&M hyper-esque, and now the "220ft structure height" supports that. I'd be personally very happy with a B&M hyper, but the East Coast isn't really in short supply. I'd take anything really, but it's very exciting to see a confirmed 220ft coaster for 2020! I'll definitely make my way by that park once this opens
  15. I'm just happy that you confirmed the announcement was for a ride!
  16. The announcement was given with exactly one day notice. If you thought this would be a coaster then it's your own fault for over-hyping it. On the good news, with the discovery of the B&M permit yesterday, it looks like 2020 may be a good year for you. I don't feel bad for you
  17. How do you get vertical loops out of stirring?? (Just curious, not trying to be an a$$.) Big circular motion? I don't know. I just noticed it mentioned stirring twice and there's two loops in the layout.
  18. The stirring thing could also be referencing the two vertical loops that follow each launching section?
  19. I keep refreshing the website with unbridled anticipation. What time is the big announcement? It already happened:
  20. If it's was simply being demolished for good, why would they close it well before the season ends? I personally don't really see the merit of spending a ton of cash for new trains, but closing it in Sept seems suspicious
  21. https://www.visitkingsisland.com/blog/2018/august/sign-up-for-the-national-roller-coaster-day-kings-island-blog-meet-up 2 hours after the announcement is a walkback tour of Racer... Hmmmm
  22. I think the Antique Cars return sounds most-likely, but I'm a little held up that they'd be announcing that on 'National Roller Coaster Day'. At the same time, there's been like no warning for announcement, so I can't see it being "huge" - We'll see.
  23. Awesome, why are you so sure it's not S&S? I'm pretty sure 10146 is the project number for the Carowinds coaster, that's why it's on both things. I have been told SFGAM is getting the S&S and not SFMM so take that as you will. Cool, does your S&S friend have any details on the SFGAm coaster then?
