  1. Favorite ride ever is Splash Mountain at Disneyland. And I'm big on Journey To The Center of the Earth at Water World (Denver, CO). Very well themed ride for a water park.
  2. Glad to hear this. Makes me feel even more welcome to be at a Disney park.
  3. When you are using the no money mode in custom scenerio, how do you get more people into your park. You can't use marketing to "advertise" your park, so is there any other way? Gotta have more people to have a reason to have more attractions, right.
  4. Really nice TR. Good photos.
  5. I haven't been there yet this summer, but it looks like they are "cleaning up" the park for their 100th next year. Nice that they are adding new things finally.
  6. It's probably gonna be hard to find an on-ride POV of Mister Twister. If there really is one out there, we've gotta share a.s.a.p.
  7. Of course I would go back to 1993-1994 Elitch Gardens. Ride Mister Twister a zillion times, ride Wild CAt a zillion times, get on the "new" Sidewinder (back then it was white), get wet over and over again on the Log Ride (Splinter), and enjoy all the other rides and old time warm feel of the park in it's (IMO) golden years. Wow.
  8. Thanks for posting this TR. Great pictures. You got just about everything. I went to DisneyLAnd Resort in 2001 and I always love reading and looking at TRs there. Yours has been the best. I loved how you spotted out the hot guys, but I liked you best. Cute guy + a great DLR TR = great eye candy for me. (Hope that doesn't sound creepy, just paying a compliment) J.T
  9. http://hometown.aol.com/Bobcoaster/Twister.html So this is the greatest site ever for old Mister Twister photos. Click, look, and drool. Basically it's a photo POV.
  10. http://www.rowan.edu/earth/denton/COASTERS/Photos/Elitch/elitch.htm This link goes to a page where there are great pictures of the Original Elitch Gardens coasters (Mister Twister, Wild Cat, and a small glimpse of Sidewinder). Very cool. Feel the nostalgia.
  11. That place is the best. It's my home town water park. I love all the theme rides and Journey To The Center of The Earth is still amazing.
  12. Flying Coaster at Elitch Gardens. I always ride when I am with somebody who never has, but from now on they are on their own. Total waste of metal that ride is.
  13. Very very cool TR. One day I will be there. Until then I shall live through TRs like yours. You're a cool guy.
  14. well if nobody else is having issues then I will give it a try.
  15. When you already have the original RollerCoaster Tycoon on your computer, can you upload say RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 (or3) and be able to use them both? Not to use the same scenerios, but to use each as like their own program? I have always used RollerCoaster Tycoon, but once when I put Tycoon2 on my computer I was unable to use the original and "play" on my old scenerios. Again, I'm not looking to use them together but to have them work like two different programs without the higher versions "overpowering" the older ones.
  16. Looks the same as last year except for the signs. Is the Rainbow closed or is it getting a referb? Hope they plan some new things for next year. I would like to see it back in the old Elitch Gardens glory.
  17. If you have any pictures of the original Elitch Gardens I would love it if you could share them with me. I was young back then and the park just seems like a dream. I would love to have some nostalgia of the old location.
  18. I really hope that whoever buys SFEG will be knowledged of the parks history. I can still remember the old Elitch Gardens and how family oriented it was. The new owners should bring back the old parks flavor, that many Denver and Colorado citizens love. Every time I go to the new Elitch's I always hear somebody talking about how they miss the old park. The old park was around for 100 years and the move was supposed to revive it and give it more room. In the end the park fell into the Six Flags corporate hell and now it could face closing for good. What a waste on such a long history. My ideas (if they even are takin seriously). Have a good buyer that has the park's history and future in good mind. Get rid of some of the bad rides that were supposed to bring in more crowds (i.e. Flying Coaster, and Half Pipe) Lose the water park (it can give good space to add more theme park rides/ bigger coasters. Plus, Denver already has Water World which is hard to beat and is much better compared to Elitch's water park, plus bigger than all of Elitch's) Re-theme the park in ways to re-live the old park. Finally, lose the Disneyland price at the gate and go back to admission and riding stamps to attract more families (let people bring in picnics, what's the big deal about it?!)
