Hey, I need help! I have booked my honeymoon on Freedom of the Seas sailing June 1st. I want to take my then wife to either Portofino or Chops. I need input and recommendations on which one is better or the better value. I know Rob and Elissa have been on several cruises with Royal Caribbean so I look forward to their responses but any and all help is appreciated!

The Disney property was actually sold to the Boy Scouts and is now a scout camp. I think they should build a park closer to Virginia Beach with it being such a big tourist area but, so are Richmond and D.C. so I guess to each his own. Though a park that close to Busch Gardens would be interesting.

I had to laugh. I just heard a commercial for Kings Dominion on my local radio station U.S. 106.1 the funny part was that during part of the commercial I heard a very familiar voice say " Twisty!!!" and " I love a twisty ride!!!!!". Thought it was pretty funny. Robs on the radio now. LOL

The biggest disappointment for me was Busch Gardens Williamsburg 2011 Announcement of a drop tower. Two things kinda made me disappointed. One was the ride itself. The tower is only 240 feet tall when less then an hour away there is one that is 60 feet taller. Just thought that the amusement industry was moving out of the drop tower fad. Second was the name. Mach Tower!!!!! Really this is Busch Gardens. The same people that came up with some of the most unique names in the industry to date and Mach Tower is the best they got. Wow. Maybe thats just me but it was really kinda disappointing to me that there was really no creativity with this ride. There maybe more that the park has not released yet and I maybe blown away when the park opens this new ride. But I guess we will have to just wait and see.

It looks like its going right next to Meltdown between the queue for meltdown and the actual slide itself.

I think a zac spin coaster would fit perfectly in demon drops former location.

Just checked out the new Howl-O-Scream site and i must say that i am not impressed with the line up for this year. It is the same mazes and shows from last year but they actually removed the Cavern of darkness. So maybe they will put more emphasis on the scarezones but we will have to wait and see.

Busch Gardens has announced today that on september 18th they will announce their 2 year plan for Busch Gardens and Water Country U.S.A.. They say that both park will be receiving new attractions. i saw this this morning and now when i go back to look it just says big changes to your williamsburg parks. So we should wait and see what happens but I do remember seeing the 18th as the announcement date during their Pass holder appreciation weekend.

I went to Hersheypark during the Boy Scout Wildlife Weekend Event. During that we went to watch a show called the falconry experience. On our way over there we asked our tour guide where we were going because we borded a bus and went around hersheypark and back behind the lighting racer. She said that we were going to and old golf course that they had closed down. The show was just there for the weekend because the seats were some wood bleachers. On our way in we passed a shed with what looked like a ride underneath a tarp. I asked what it was and she said that it was an old ride from the park. The more i looked the more it looked like the old chaos ride. The show was great and when it was over we went back to hersheypark. The reason I told you that was to tell you this. If the said golf course that everyone is talking about for this "new coaster" is this one than it is a perfect fit.
