  1. I've never been to the park before so any advice or tips are always appreciated. Thanks My boyfriend and I will be posting a TR when we get back. We're going to a few other parks after La Ronde, so it'll probably be up in a couple weeks. Sorry for hijacking this thread Best seats: Goliath: Back back back.. HUGE and I mean HUGE difference from any of the oher seats in terms of airtime and speed. Monstre: Front row Track 1. Vampire: Definately Front row Cobra: Front Row although the back is good too. Super Manege: Borderline enjoyable in the back for its small bit of airtime, otherwise it sucks. Boomerang: Choose your seat. The Orbit is unfortunately closed for the rest of the year. Do not miss Manitou and Vertigo... two great flats. The plan I always take and it always works wonders is.. head into the park at opening and take a right from the entrance. Go straight to the monstre track 1 and wait for the front row. Get off and ride the boomerang that is a block away. Next ride Manitou and Super Manege which are in between the Monstre and Boomerang. After that go to Goliath. It should have a 30 minute line right now but it goes fast due to the 2 train operation. Now head on to the other side of the park and ride Vampire. Then hop on the cobra next to it while you're at it. The only good ride reamining is the vertigo. Ride that but just to let you know dispatches take 7-8 minutes, its ridiculous. The reason I dont recommend a flashpass is because its not like its a big park afterall theres only 7-8 thrill rides in the park and only 5 that are actually thrilling so why not get the best of them? When you buy the acces rapide (flash pass) you always have to sit in a middle row. And its only for 5 rides.
  2. You dont even need flash pass. I never use flash pass and get to ride all the thrill rides twice if I stay from open to close. The crowds should really be dead monday since schools start. I'd even say sunday wont be too bad. If you want advice on what seat to ride each coaster and a plan of what to do in what order just let me know. Happy to help! By the way I'd love to see how it went... so you think you can do a tr?
  3. Tell us about some of your longest coaster droughts? Also indicate how much you usually would you go to parks so we can have an idea of how much a certain period means. Offseason does not count.
  4. To me theming and restaurants dont make a park. Who gives a crap about theming or food in an AMUSEMENT park. You go there to ride and have fun so ride quality has to be the number one thing. Another thing is the lines.
  5. Thanks... finally can someone give me an order of rides I should do considering I wanna ride SROS, BATMAN, MIND ERASER, Cyclone, Buzzsaw, double trouble, time warp, nightwing, tomahawk, scream and catapult. I'm llooking for a map but couldnt find it anywhere.
  6. I'm gonna be coming to sfne sunday october 8th. I'm from montreal but I'm visiting two six flags parks (sfgadv and sfne) on the 7th and 8th. Anyhow I'll be ariving at the park at opening (which is at 12 pm! ). I have a couple questions. 1) Does my la ronde season pass work at sfne? Do I have to go to guest relations or something? I wana know because I dont wanna wait in a line for no reason. 2) Will I need a flash pass if I wanna hit all the major coasters within 5 hours? 3) What seats would you recommend me to ride in for each coaster to have the best experience possible. (taking into account airtime, speed, comfort etc) 4) In what order would you suggest I ride the coasters to minimize the wait? 5) Are there any good restaurants in the park? 6) How much is a sros ride photo. 7) How's the weather there in october... is it rainy and cold and can I expect SROS to be open? 8) Are there any good flat rides in the park? Last but not least my brother is scared to ride SROS seeing as someone fell from it in 2004. I told him the ride's restraints were modified but I'm not sure. What exactly changed? Anyone have any pics?
  7. As you know (or you might not lol) I've been planning a coaster trip in october. My only way to go is on a weekend and I'm thinking the weekend of october 6-8. I'm thinking of driving to GADV in new jersey from Montreal (I live there) from midnight friday. I'll get there sometime in the morning at like 8. I have the whole day to hit gadv and hopefully all the coasters in time. Sleep at days inn wrightstown at night for 70$ + tax. Get up in the morning at around 6 and drive right to SFNE in massachusets which is about a 4 hour drive. Stay until about 5-6 at night and hope to hit all the coasters there. Drive back home and go to work monday. How much money do you think we would need considering we're gonna be 3 and all of us have a six season pass already. I'm thinking: 85$ Hotel 200$ Gaz (total travel of 1000 miles with 2.2 Cobalt SS Coupe) 100 $ Food 30 $ Q BOT FOR GADV ?? Q BOT FOR SFNE (How much is it and should I buy one?) 15 $ Parking for GADV ??? Parking for SFNE (How much does it cost?) One ride photo ---- Total: Around 450 american. Is this pretty accurate? What would you guys suggest? Thanks a lot in advance guys you dont know how much I appreciate this.

    Fastpass LR

To the right of the entrance of the park. I dont think you can purchase it at the back entrance but I'm not sure. You basically get to ride on 5 rides without any wait... except for the fast pass lane. You cant choose your seat on the coasters. They only take about 3-4 people at a time for each lap.
  9. hahaha titan isnt even tall at all.

    Fastpass LR

Yes La Ronde has a fast pass service called "Acces Rapide". It is located to the right of the entrance. It's 12 or 13 bucks for 5 rides. I really dont think it's worth it because Monster isnt even included and La Ronde's thrill rides could all be done in less then 5 hours on a really crowded day. Add me on msn if u want nitro233434@hotmail.com if you wanna kno anyrthing else.
  11. Here are the rides I wanna do no matter what. El Toro King da ka Nitro Medusa Superman Rides I would like to do but can live without. GASM Batman the Ride Rolling Thunder Space Shuttle Bumper Cars Do you think I culd get these 10 rides done on a saturday or would I need a flash pass? Considering I'm staying at the park saturday and sunday, do you think I'll be able to reride some of those coasters?
  12. Well for someone who's probably not gonna visit GADV again for many many years, having King da ka closed isnt really a wish of mine.
  13. Why rain? The coasters would be closed. By the way.. how's the weather like normally in new jersey in october? Is 2 days at the park enough?
  14. We were supposed to go 2 nights ago but it was canceled. Now were thinking of going the weekend of october 7-8. We wanna stay at a hotel close to the park (max 30 minutes by car). Anybody know any good prices? Not more then 100 a night tax included for 2 adults and one children. Also how much crowd should I expect saturday and sunday in october? Will I get all the big coasters done and maybe even twice each day or should I still get the QBOT? Is the buy one get one free coke promotion still gonna work in october? Thanks a lot in advance guys!
  15. All coasters except super manege had both trains running. Vampire's line was long as hell too... it started on the final railings that you go through before stepping on the real queue. It took us an hour wait only. Great operators that day.
  16. I've waited an hour and 15 minutes for this ride but then again that was during the most busy day of the year (saturday july 29, last fireworks of the season and beautiful weather). Every ride was packed. Goliath's line started almost at the entrance. Unbelivable!

By the way where is it that I can get this coke can people speak of?
  18. I think the ride is running better now then when it first opened. By thr way I'd love to see a photo tr!
  19. Thanks guys.. one last thing. I've never used a Qbot before so can anyone tell me how it works? I scan a ride and it tells me the amount of time I have to wait to ride it? Do I go in from a different lane? Does it flash and tell me when its time to come because let's say I'm waiting in line for another ride and its time to ride the coaster I scanned... do I have to immediately get off the line? Also wheres the QBOT located?
  20. Ok so I'll be visiting new jersey next tuesday until saturday. We'll be staying at Atlantic City. I have a couple questions. 1) Is 1 day enough to get all the major coasters in? Lets say Toro, Ka, Nitro, Medusa and Superman. Do you think I could even be able to ride some more then once? 2) What day would be best to go to the park? (from Tuesday to Saturday) 3) Does the Qbot make a big difference? Would I be able to ride the major coasters more then twice? 4) Is there any good thrill rides? 5) How much do the Go Karts cost and how fast do they go? 6) What are the best seats on the big 5 coasters. (KA, TORO, NITRO, MEDUSA,SUPERMAN) 7) Does anyone have a plan where I could ride everything I want but in an organized way so that I wont be running around often? Thanks a lot in advance guys.. CANT WAIT!!!
  21. Maybe not top 10 but certainly top 20. My friend's ridden hundreds of coasters in his life and 20 hyper coasters and he has this ride as his 5th best hyper and 10th best coaster overall. Then again, the difference between any seat and the back is big so people have very different views about it.
  22. Best coaster in Canada and top 10 in the world. Airtime and speed. Very reliable although it got stuck on the turnaround and firefighters had to come and rescue the rides 2 weeks ago. Very weird for a B&M to do that.
  23. There's only been 4 deaths this year, not much.
  24. All this talk about people dying after riding because of heart attacks is scaring me. I dont think I have a heart condition but I'm not 100 % certain. If I had one do you think it would show in a regular blood test? Also, I've only visited one park in my life and that's La Ronde. On the B:TR Clone I've blacked out a couple times and also on Goliath I greyed out a little while the train was coasting up the hill after the first drop. Seeing as I will be going to GADV in 2 weeks to ride Ka... I'm scared that I could die.
