  1. All of those clues look like a Super Loop to me. At first I thought there is no way then i remember we are talking about six flags.
  2. How dose a footer damage the ground? It is made out of sand rocks cement and water and steel but its illegal for it to touch the ground and has to be in cased in concrete. Also it is much harder to remove track 230' in the air than it is to take out a footer.
  3. Those supports are like that because there is a deep vally and creek there. It also is where the coaster exits and enters back into the park.
  4. Unionized labor! Its not the workers fault six flags is the general contractor and creates the work schedule so union or not it dose not matter. I would also much rather go on a new ride knowing that the people who built it got paid good with benefits And all had the same training. In the end this means happy workers who wont half ass the job.
  5. ^with the extra supports being added its going to take more time so its probably cheaper. Plus there is two air force base's pretty much on both sides of Great Adventure so a helicopter would probably be in the way some how.
  6. I did confirm that those big footings behind kingda ka are going to be extra supports for the tower so it is safe to say kingda ka will not be open at all during the construction. I have also been told that the construction is behind schedule due to many reason weather being a big part of it.
  7. ^ I agree I was just getting at the fact that in years past they would remove a ride and instead of cleaning the area up and making it nice they just threw a few benches in there and made it a smoking area. Besides there is already two in that area.
  8. Let's not forget the large smoking section that will be going in there Great Adventure is well known for tearing down rides and replacing them with a new smoking section the following year.
  9. Those are big footings for just theming the base of the footings is about 30'x30'. In the photo the footing looks small because it was back filled. The photos where taken over a few days not all at once.
  10. Towards the end of the day it got painful but not like omg i am in pain just got a bit tight plus the air time so really just the normal Intamin staple.
  11. Skyrush opened today around 1:00 the lift still was slowed down on the crown. I cannot compare to last year because i never made it out to the park but it was a crazy ride with a lot of ejector air time.
  12. The red line is the zipline. There will be no bridge over the road however the road will go though the lion area by going over a bridge. I do not expect a lot from this area as far as themeing especially after seeing that the whole area is going to be fine crushed stone instead of concrete or asphalt, but only time will tell for what it is i think it will look good i just hope they do a lot of work around the safari its had been looking really poor for a while now.
  13. It has been out of place since the tepee was torn down. I think its time to change the theme of that whole area.
  14. Someone else all ready said it but with the wrong info but I will delete it to keep people here happy.
  15. When I worked at GADV the state made the park close off all of the Q and make it a danger zone after the ride closed for a few months opening year. So there is no way to get back there and it is really far from any midway. Also Kingda Ka is fixed and should be open on opening day. It was testing after the park closed for the season in early November.
  16. The hart-line rolls were removed do to fatigue cracking in the trains bogies. The cracking did result in an incident in 2006 that put the robin train out of operation. The batman train was then painted red and used on the robin side with the modified track but the cracking still occurred, and with the high cost of maintance the ride already has due to the lims it was removed. they did get a new train for batman side in 2007 but never bothered putting it on the track because to many lims had to be repaired. It getting stuck upside down was never an issue there was always a man lift under the ride to push the train if it happen. most of the time the train would stop down by water effects station. There was a platform to remove guest there as well as a spot in the track where the rails would come off to take the train apart. The company that removed the ride is who bought it they have been trying to sell it ever since they removed it.
