Today I got a survey from gadv asking questions about new rides for 2012 a lot of them where about star flyers and if they should build one 300' tall or one 200' tall with music express and dumbo flat ride. So I would have to say its almost 100% that next year gadv will have a star flyer and if anything else comes I wish it would be somthing more exciting than a music express or dumbo ride. They also asked how much I would be willing to pay to ride a star flyer.

I got that one as soon as you said part of the train spins.

I i am not 100% sure but i think it was 17 million.

The whole visual scan started as a joke when two supervisors where working a ride early last year. The park started to just say visual scan prior to starting a ride early last year, But when the two supervisors where just joking around and started the hand over the eyes thing the manager of rides saw this they made it mandatory. They think that it shows the guest that they are actually looking instead of just saying it. i think it is just a way to suck up to corporate to say they are better, or just to be silly.

I really doubt the ride will have six people checking the train. No ride at gadv has ever had over 4 people checking a train. They may of been counting the greeter and the operator.

Nj schools go until mid june. You must of gotten really unlucky to have waited 4 hours for el toro. The queue completely filled with two trains is an 45 minute wait on average.

The whole job is union a painter can only paint and they get charged for any extra stuff like that. The general contractor will charge the park a arm and a leg for stuff like that.

Its not millions but take a couple guys getting paid $55 an hour it add up.

I'm fairly sure the park knows what they're doing. Doubtful they made a mistake. It doesn't matter if you understand what six flags is doing with the paint job or not....as long as it's open the day they say it's going to open right? Who cares what they are doing with the paint right now? It's not going to change the ride experience in a few weeks. Everyone is getting in a tizzy about the colors of the ride. It is clear we have no idea what they are planning on doing...so let's just leave it until it finished. Some of you guys find ways of getting upset over the stupidest things I can care less about what color the ride is. They just painted parts of that corkscrew yellow two weeks a go and now they are repainting it again. Thats just what is confusing they may of just changed there minds after the loop was painted, and thats why I said it is a wast of time and money doing stuff twice cost a lot.

If you look at the web cam now you can see that on the second corkscrew half way thru and out to the turn is all painted in primer. This track was yellow, I really do not under stand what they are doing now to me it looks like a waste of time and money. They should of just painted the whole ride green.

the park usually expects anywhere from 10,000 to 15,000 during the day. it gets weird sometimes too some days due to schools to schools it will be packed during the day and then it will be dead at night, and then there are days that it is dead and packed at night. you can always try calling the park and asking how many people are there.

Yeah at 4:00 there was only 5000 in the park

The past few days there has been over 17000 at the park I am am going to have to say there will be a good crowd today.
