  1. That's right you have to go back to the board walk. I hope that they rethink that. The park probably likes it because it will now make people pass the games and vendors more.
  2. It is not going to reopen, I belive it is going to be more petting zoo area or somthing else that has to do with the safari.
  3. They tested all ways during the off season and this is the best according to them the ride its self is fine everything Works. The left station will only be for back up as well as the forth train they will get more through put this way. I do not see why everyone is making a big deal about this if they found a way to get 10 more trains out an hour I am all for it. And now they have a back up plan in case anything happens to a train or one of the stations. If anything they could of made a big improvement. Just give it time and let the new employees get in to the flow of working at the park. I have worked With the people who made these changes and believe me they thought of all the pros. And cons. Before even touching the ride.this was not just made up over night they put time and thought into it.
  4. I agree that the second station should be a unload. But I was told at the average time to unload and load the train with 4 people on it should only be 35 seconds so the trains should not be sitting for long. The crew that was there today was new and taking way to long to check a train they only had 4-5 seats to check. It was kinda sad but it was the first day it will improve. Give it time and all the bugs will be worked out and hopefully there will be less wait times and down time. They can still change when they launch. The first train and allow it to just stack on the breaks but if that do that it will go very slow around the turn its just the way ka was designed.
  5. Guest load and unload only out of one station they will not unload out of the second station. They did this to improve dispatches they will get around 65 an hr now one train about every 55 seconds instead of every 65 with 4 trains.
  6. Putting an american flag up is up to the iron workers and six flags. My guess is they did not make a big deal about the track being complete with media there, they felt no need to put a flag on it. Maybe its just another bodget cut to save some money lol.
  7. The park will have a nice clean new look when driving up. Its a lot better than 2002 when the first coasters you seen was gasm and rolling thunder.
  8. they still use it from time to time the the last time that they had a stunt show all season was 2006. They really do need to do somthing with it a new show or a well themed drop tower with effects going on around you would be nice to see. Right now it is just an eye swore as well as the rest of the old country.
  9. As far as theming goes I have been told it will have minimum theming. I would not expect too much do to the fact that they cut the tunnels and are putting shade structures instead.
  10. Green lantren may be an old ride, but rember they are going to program the ride to run 3 trains. I am sure it will have its fair share of down time. As far as ride opening they need to speed up with building the station so they can start putting the computers togather and programing the ride and get it ready for testing.
  11. Batman will go stright to a set up. Superman is the only b&m at gadv that can creep and stop it at the top with out timing out right away.
  12. Just about every ride can be started in bypass mode without having to send employees up the lift or out to the blocks. Most parks do not want want to do it this way however gadv requires the employees to restart the lift and blocks by having employees at the location where the trains has stopped. But on most rides if there is no train on the lift it can be restarted at the bottom of the lift. And on taller rides like Nitro or bizaro/medusa if the train is at the bottom of the lift you only have to go half way up to restart but if it is half way or any higher you have to go all the way up the lift to restart. Gasm was the only ride where you could restart it from the bottom no matter where the train was.
  13. I am not sure about the dark night but the only coaster that had auto park at gadv was chiller.
  14. I was a supervisor at gadv for 5 years so I would have to say that I know my rides but whatever the only way of you finding out is go to the park and get trained for the ride. And like I said earlier it is an older batman and dose have an older oporating system just because sfmm id different dose not mean the rest of the world is the same end of subject.
  15. The train dose not have to stop on the transfer if it dose it will set up if the fist train has left the station. What I was getting at was that at gadv running batman even in bypass mode no guest or any one else just an operator hitting interval every time it still wall have a pause as the first train enters the lift.
  16. Well then gadv is different it only has 3 blocks and is a very old program. I even called my buddy who still works there who is high up in managment in the rides department and he said the same thing. There is only 3! (1 station, 2 station exit to top of lift 3 top of lift to end of transfer) and a block check on the ride is send out first train bring second half way into the station. Let loft time out advance the second train. Try to send it out, restart the lift. Just because they are all batmans and same layout dose not meant that they oporate the same. This is how gadv batman operates. Also a batman train at gadv will not dispatch until the train has hit the service breaks you can not just send it out when the lift is clear not even in bypass mode.
  17. The train can be dispatched when the other has entered at the service breaks. It dose not have to be on the transfer. But it is a short ride with old style trains that have smaller seats then newer b&m coasters so it is a harder ride to roll trains on. That's dose not mean it can not be done. I have ran batman in bypass mode for hours and and the trains has to be dispatched the second the train enters the first breaks (service breaks)
  18. What I was trying to say is that gadv batman can not perfectly roll trains evey time it wil stop on the transfer. The train in the station cannot be dispatched untill the other train is in the service breaks or else the train that was in the station will stop at the top of the lift causing a set up. I thought it over again and I am 90% sure batman gadv has 3 blocks (station, lift, top of lift to end of transfer)
  19. Yeah that's right it is 4 blocks but still when they had 4 people on the train that where good they could roll with the train on transfer having a slight stop the only way the trains would roll on btr was if there was a set up.
  20. The way that gadv staffs there rides is there always has to be an operator behind the pannel as well as one attended for each train. The reason why they do this is so if there is a break down there is an employee able to go to each stranded train. Ride like batman can use more people but the way that the blocks are set up it dose not really matter if you have two good employees. The rides only has 3 blocks so the train has to hit the breaks before the next can go out. When El Toro opened it did not have a full crew of 6 people all the time for the most part it 3 in the station and one greater. Gl how ever will probably be different do to the fact that some of the operations management came from cedar point and they know how hard it os to keep a stand up moving.
  21. 2006 was the best year for nito there was at least 4 people checking the train at all times
  22. The third train that was sent is for a third train on gl and not for parts the ride will run 3 trains. And as for flyers I worked at gadv as a rides supervisor and what ever section I worked in I would get very mad if there was any trains stacked and when superman was in my section I told the crew that the train better be dispatched by the time the train hit the service breaks. And our goal was 32 dispatches an hr. We where also able to creep trains almost every train. The only hold up we had was train errors, pin motors, and no radio that would slow us down. Other than that we where hitting at least 1200 an hr.
