Official LOST Discussion Thread
scorchedflower replied to obeygiant's topic in Random, Random, Random
IMO the best flasback was the episode last season where Claire was in the hatch with Ethan. It yet again created more mysteries and questions which is what I love about Lost. I haven't watched episode 2 yet, but I thought the first was a bit slow, although the first scene was like the best thing ever. For non USA residents, you can download episodes in 6 bite-size chunks at http://www.watchlost.com although you have to register, but it's worth it even if the quality isn't good, which is to be expected really. Enjoy! -

^^ Yes they are very popular, or there wouldn't be so many of them... but personally I find them painful and a bit dull, compared to Nemesis -

^ Yeah I'm with you, the ACE atatus doesn't really mean that much, most old woodies seem to have them. But it was the first woodie I ever went onand I shall really miss it. -

^ I'm not bothered about the SLC, there's loads of clones of them. But Cyclone was an ACE coaster classic and one of my favourites. -

Is there anywhere that has pictures of the design of that Alton Towers coaster? -

I hope you enjoy it... I had one for a present years ago, and the rails were so rigid they could hardly bend into a fathomable track layout, the crossbars were weak and the lift hill didn't work. I was really upset as I was looking forward to it so much It was from some magazine, and we got some other stuff at the same time from it and the other stuff was a bit badly made. So my marble coaster thing was probably not the same make as these. It was damn expensive though. -

That David Bennet book is realy good, I'd recommend it to anyone Tells you how a coaster works, and all the great rollercoaser designers along a timeline, along with descriptions and photos of some current roller coasters. They probably rejected the plans because it was too loud or high, lol... -
This is my first serious scneario attempt, please let me know whether you like it or hate it. (The scenario is actually called 'Limited Land', the park's name is Yorkshire Dales. Lame I know) It won't let me upload the sc6 extension, so it's the save file instead, and the screenshot's too big so it's imageshack. The objective for the scenario so you can convert your own from the save: have 1500 guests in your park, not letting the rating drop below 700. All other options are default. And the text: "There is limited space available in this park, so you will have to built around the existing attractions to attract more guests." Yorkshire Dales.SV6 Limited Land Scenario

Oh cool, would you want to meet up if we all got on the trip? Which airport would be going from? Edit: just saw your edit, lol. Heathrow was where I flew from when I went to LA and it was fine. -

Hi people, I'd love to go on the Midwest Trip. I've read the flyer and as much of the threads as possible, just have a couple of questions. Now I have a budget of about £2400 (about $4000), unless I manage to find a job soon... so do you think, from any past experience, that this will be enough, including flights from the UK? Also might any other people from the UK be willing to meet up at a UK airport before the trip, so we're not all flying alone? It'd make the flights go faster with people to talk to. Thanks -
What Rides Scares the Crud Out Of You?
scorchedflower replied to EuroTre's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
When I went on Psyclone at Magic Mountain I was scared I was going to get concussion or something... but the scariest first-ride I've been on is Oblivion probably (Alton Towers). Rides I'll not go on are sling shots or sky coasters, I'd go on everything else probably.
