ECZenith
8/4/2014 Warwick, RI Behind the overgrown gates of the former Rocky Point Park in Warwick, RI, a mysterious entrepreneur has been hard at work with hundreds of construction workers, engineers, and lawyers barely stopping to take a breath. Citizens of the Warwick Neck community were upset to see their newly opened walking path closed due to nearby construction. Adrenaland Amusements Inc. has issued a statement, keeping many juicy details privy for next year's debut: "Adrenaland will take us back to the old Rocky Point Park site in ways never before dreamed of. What Rocky Point failed to do was keep up with the times, and we have the necessary investors and engineers to bring a true theme park to the shores of Rhode Island. New themed areas will grace the dormant grounds, while keeping a touch of Rocky Point's shore vacation experience alive for a new generation." AAI went on to comment that the park has taken some of Rocky Point's classic rides like the House of Horror and Corkscrew into account with designing new rides. "We wanted it to feel like Rocky Point, but pushed to a new level." Apparently, the park's yet to be revealed logo will even feature the park's famous archway icon to serve as the 'A' in Adrenaland. While details have been scarce, AAI has trademarked many interesting sounding names for its scream machines. I will be among the thousands looking forward to finding out exactly what "Riptide" or "Temple of Poseidon" could be when the park opens in Spring of 2015. "We are going with big name amusement providers for our theme park attractions. Bolliger and Mabillard of Monthey, Switzerland have designed several of the park's coasters in Europe, but track was discreetly shipped in this past May from a facility in Ohio where it was manufactured. We are also proud to say we have one of coaster legend: Werner Stengel's retirement designs on hand and will be building it with Intamin designed track and rolling stock." When asked for further comment, AAI assured us there is more on the way. A view from the walking path before it was closed to the public this July. /\ for Adrenaland. The sun sets on Rocky Point, former fun Mecca for New England. They have sat closed since 1995, 15 years later, new gates will open. Mr. Costa of AAI assures us classics like the House of Horror will be rebuilt in new ways with elaborate theming and high tech entertainment systems. Rumor has it Six Flags New England is announcing its largest investment to date on August 26th, a coaster built to compete with Adrenaland's screaming skyline of wood and steel. Through the trees: A coaster fan shutterbug was able to snap a shot of evening testing on two of the park's big new rides! Apparently, this is the Temple of Poseidon built by Mack of Germany. What appears to be a Bolliger and Mabillard coaster now sits atop the rock wall where the old Shore Dinner Hall once occupied. JonnyRCT3
Interesting. I've never heard of Rocky Point, but it's great to a restoration project. Temple of Poseidon look stunning from what I can see. I absolutely LOVE heavily themed water rides. I'm intrigued as to what the parks flat ride lineup will be like. I'm guessing the B&M is either a floorless or a wing. Either sounds great!
ECZenith
Hey Jonny, you'll be pleased to know Temple of Poseidon is themed wall to wall inside and out. There are a few more details to add to this Mack Supersplash/Dark Ride hybrid but I will show what we have so far. The adjacent "Riptide" is the park's first coaster and is in fact a B&M wing coaster. Riptide is a redesign from all of my past floorless incarnations with some modern-day twists added in. Here's some facts about Riptide... Engineer: S. Costa/AAI Bolliger and Mabillard "Wing Coaster" (mfg. Monthey Switzerland, mctr. Claremont Steel, OH, USA) First test run 5, August 2015 Results: Excitement: 7.96 (Very High), Intensity 6.99 (High), Nausea: 2.18 (Low) , my most perfected design to date. Max Speed:60 mph Height:135 feet tall Biggest Drop:115 feet "Boardwalk Buster" keyhole drop, first of it's kind. Inversions: (5 Total) Wingover Drop, Zero Gravity Roll, Diving Loop, Vertical Loop, first of it's kind "Sailor's Knot" finale Gravitational Forces: Max +V: 4.84xG, Max -V: -1.73 xG, Max Lat G: 2.97 xG, 12 seconds of "airtime", also known as "moon balls" here in Rhode Island. Enjoy, and thanks for checking out this project years in the making! Overview of Riptide Reef themed zone: Temple of Posidoen (L) and Riptide ® I will peel the roof off of Temple of Poseidon's second show building to offer a little peak, but videos will be available soon for those who might want to see a ride through. I'm no ImaginnerTim but this park is coming along nicely. Currently the view from ToP's platform. Needs a little theming. The big drop, remember, there is still a lot of theming work to be done on the exterior. I wanted to finish off the show scenes and close up the temple. The lift at the end of the ride. The show building is visible from all sides of the park, so it needed to be themed like Poseidon's Temple, ruined by time. The other side of the show building, clearly I was inspired by Sea World Orlando's Journey to Atlantis. All of my special effects still work. Zing. Although Riptide Reef is mostly set around a tropical fishing village ravaged by storms, the western half will be lit by fire only and heavily landscaped. Riptide: I LOVED Gatekeeper. I love B&M. I am in the minority. I do not care, LOVE them. If I were tasked with designing Gatekeeper I would have done something like this: Riptide starts things off with the "boardwalk buster" first drop (crashing through the boardwalk after soaring over the bay upside down) The inversions are low and tight, when B&M still had all their hair, those rides pulled some G's! The Zero-G Roll and Diving Loop, then a twisty trek to the MCBR. Gotta spatch the second train of course... You will get wet on this ride. Let's end it with a g-shredding vertical loop and a never before seen Sailor's Knot. ::throws drumsticks into the crowd:: That's Riptide: Ride for Your Life! More to come... more new rides are already running at Adrenaland, but no peeking until there's more detail. fraroc
The park looks very good and I love the wing coaster....but what makes the inclined loop any different than those that already exist on B&M standups or Top Fun Typhoons?
YoshiCraft2011
Restoring an abandoned theme park in RCT3? That sounds pretty cool. Overall, it's a good looking park, and I really like theming of the new rides. At least the boat one.
ECZenith
Allow me to clarify, Riptide's tilted helix is not unique. The unique elements are the keyhole under the walkway "boardwalk buster" and the Sailor's Knot (half corkscrew, half inline twist taken slow for hang time effect) The tilted loop was not labeled as "unique". ECZenith
In my free time after work I have slowly but surely been chipping away at a completed Adrenaland. We stand at about 10% finished, there is a LOT of work left to be done. The two new coasters I show today are being constructed in tandem for support, detail, and landscaping functionality. I typically would not start more than one coaster at a time, but these two projects need to play nicely together and need to pleasing to the eye. The RMC buzz around my home park's treasured Cyclone coaster got my creative energy flowing and I decided to take a swing at a hybrid wooden coaster project, EverScream. EverScream and it's B&M cousin share a face of the mountain together and its lift hills are side by side. They are two of the new areas ten rides. Abenaki, our B&M inverted coaster was designed, themed and named with the assistance of my beautiful Jessica (girlfriend, best friend, and coaster adventure buddies for life) When finished it will be themed with Native American relics, rushing waterfalls, and dense vegetation as it hugs the terrain of Evergreen Falls. There will also be many hidden easter eggs in the park (especially in this area) Good luck finding them. You will receive no more clues. Obviously, this is not the finished product. EverScream is roughly 20% complete and Abenaki even less complete, lots of support work, landscaping, and other details need to be worked in. Also, I should probably finish the circuits at some point. The finished products will be graceful and pretty. Thank you for looking and remember... NEVER STOP CREATING! EverScream and Abenaki, RMC B&M BFFs. Abenaki dares you to let your spirit soar free... EverScream has darker intentions. It's not just the water that falls on Evergreen Falls. Evergreen Falls graces Mt. Abenaki Please don't tell B&M I am testing her without supports... Or RMC for that matter. Here you can see one of EverScream's three inversions. JonnyRCT3
Wow, that RMC looks awesome!!! Abenaki has an interesting concept, and seems like it could be one of the better B&M inverts on the forums! I love the interaction it has with EverScream . ECZenith
Thanks for the compliment Johnny! This project is still very much alive. Abenaki and EverScream are getting finished up now, support work is taking a while, don't want to show the area until the two coasters are done. I would like to put up an Intamin coaster soon. ECZenith
9/20/2014 While Evergreen Falls is still far from being called a completed themed area of Adrenaland, it's two signature coasters are now complete! Adrenaland is proud to present to you... Abenaki and EverScream! Abenaki is B&M's most intense coaster to date. With relentless speed and daring maneuvers, your spirit will soar like a great wind. It is important for all of my B&M's to have a unique inversion: Abenaki features a unique pair of inversions called the Tomahawk Throw We hope trim brakes won't need to be added but this loop is being reported to numb the legs of it's riders... Abenaki's elegant 540 helix circles a totem and some mighty pines. Thanks for checking out the photos! More updates soon! EverScream rolls through the first of two inversions. The diving loop leads to the coaster's second tunnel. Airtime is plentiful on EverScream! Our employees were invited to test ride these monsters today! Evergreen Falls is still missing 80% of its rides, but these two coasters from B&M and RMC will fulfill our guests appetite for adrenaline! ECZenith
^ Thanks 305! Here are some shots of Vulcan, still needs theming and surrounding landscape and details but just to show the layout... Vulcan, of course, is the god of Steel and Fire in Roman and Greek mythology. Station area and turnaround to lift... Vulcan is the first ride guests see as they enter the park. The main entrance plaza will actually be one of the last items built. Vulcan heading to the sky Vulcan 225! Actually just Vulcan The turnaround plummets riders alongside Temple of Poseidon The second turnaround is located near the entrance to Riptide Reef, I already fixed that messed up support... well... B&M did. The drop off the MCBR is loaded with negative g's Carousel turn heading back to the station As you can see, Vulcan still needs a station house and queue building... gladiator theming won't hurt either! Next update will show off the finished Vulcan, Cavalier Cove, and a themed Reaper. Don't forget, The Wraith is coming...

ECZenith
Vulcan is 4,437 feet long, 225 feet tall and reaches 77 mph. A decent sized mega speed coaster. ECZenith
3/7/2015 Paranormal activity has been reported in the heavily wooded south east hills of Adrenaland. Rumor has it the grim reaper himself has chosen this place to beckon thrill seekers to the edge of the underworld! Standing high above our all new Feargrounds themed area, Reaper:Ride for your Life! stands 210 feet tall, features three inversions and two 89 degree drops sure to leave you breathless! (Bolliger and Mabillard dive machine coaster) Also new in The Feargrounds is The Wraith. The Wraith is our final installation by our preferred coaster designers in Monthey, Switzerland. This terrain style coaster provides a sensation of a vengeful ghost's flight through the ruins of a castle. (Bolliger and Mabillard flying coaster) Lots of new flat rides and haunted houses have been added to this area, as the park's founder is quite the year round fan of Halloween and haunted houses. We are currently tinkering with our newest land project: Electri City, featuring LiveWire, an Intamin LSM powered launch coaster featuring a Maverick-style first drop and an inverted top hat. This one isn't for grandma... stay tuned and thanks for checking construction progress on Adrenaland Resort! Themed land count and major ride summary: 7 Evergreen Falls: Our mountaintop destination for thrills (Abenaki, EverScream, Shafted!, Gold Fever, log ride) The Feargrounds: Reaper: RFYL, The Wraith, The Pendulum Grand Midway: Vulcan The Boardwalk: Riptide, Temple of Poseidon, Atlantic Star Cavalier Cove Water Park: More coming soon! Forgotten Valley: Venom, Rain Dance, DinoTours more in development! Electri City: LiveWire, Cataclysm, Vertigo, Invader, and many more developments coming soon! A view from Warwick Harbor of an employee preview program. Atlantic Star is showing off those new LED's! Riptide is still busting that boardwalk! You'd swear you are heading into the harbor! Our new B&M Dive Machine testing this morning. Reaper: Ride for your Life! I suggest riding when the sun goes down, beware the shadowy fingers of Death himself as you twist through a jojo roll, unique to any dive coaster! Also in the Fearground, The Wraith! Not quite as tall or long as Reaper, The Wraith offers a unique flying experience past and through a decrepit castle. To give you an idea of the three large attractions in this area... We decided on electric purple for LiveWire, the appropriately named electromagnetic Intamin beast is still in the experimental phase...

ECZenith
9/7/2015. Adrenaland lives! Hey guys, I know it's been a while but this project is very much alive after a catastrophic computer problem caused file corruption, Adrenaland Resort was rebuilt completely from scratch with more custom scenery, more detail, and what I hope is more experience and real life ride technology applied to the park. You will note several changes in the landscape, the lighthouse now sits higher up on a hill as it will be the icon landmark of the entire resort. Riptide is now an electromagnetically launched sequel to its lost sister, to be honest this one came out a lot better and will be the focus of today's update. Thanks for checking out my park! This indoor Reverchon crazy mouse has special effects and some great drops! The ART monorail runs through the center giving passengers a peek. The giant wheel is now at the center of the park, serving as a hub zone. New South Boardwalk (Grand Prix, mini golf, Beach Blasters S&S Towers) The new waterpark Neptune's Kingdom is not done yet, more on that later... Aww yeah... Riptide 2.0 in action! Airtime a-plenty. Ah the scream of magnets and the salt in the air makes for a great New England summer day. The vertical loop Riptide's MCBR and maintenance bay Gracefully soaring over the Atlantic The station Sit on the right side for an acceptable amount of wetness. Smuggler's Den 2.0 (no peeking inside yet) One of the new lower landings on the boardwalk
