timetrial3141592 Posted June 20, 2006 Posted June 20, 2006 I have a technique for these. First, I build "block supports" (those open-frame supports in RCT2) on every other lift support. If need be, I raise land so I can get them up all the way. Then I connect the two tallest supports with "block supports" based on the maximum height for the support one piece to the right (assuming the lift goes from left to right) of the non-cable-lift part of the lifthill/first drop. I repeat the process going down, then add in supports halfway, forming 3x3 "holes". When I reach the base, I use slanted and slanted-corner supports to form the "widened" base. I will post a pic eventually.
tinflowers Posted June 20, 2006 Posted June 20, 2006 Yeah, pic please. I was wondering how ppl do it(I just learned what the shift key does!).
timetrial3141592 Posted June 22, 2006 Author Posted June 22, 2006 I spent 40 minutes on the supports for Emerald (the green hyper... the red and blue ones are too tall for supports.) The entrance to Intamin Land... The supports!
spaminacan11 Posted June 22, 2006 Posted June 22, 2006 Well those look unrealistic. This is how you do realistic Intamin Supports. ^That is SupremeScremer's Unlimited in Premier Amusement Park.
phazan Posted June 22, 2006 Posted June 22, 2006 yeah, I like those a lot. The other ones don't really look unrealistic, there are just WAY too much. They would look a lot better if you cut more than half them off.
steel Posted June 22, 2006 Posted June 22, 2006 Whoa, we need to get Elissa to that park! I agree, you don't need nearly that much support. Look at Millennium Force.
NitroRider Posted June 24, 2006 Posted June 24, 2006 MF only has supports so far apart because its quad rail thus making it more rigid. With Intamin quad track you can have a support longer than a train length away.
timetrial3141592 Posted June 24, 2006 Author Posted June 24, 2006 BTW, The Intamin Land now has a Rocket Coaster (B+M track, hacked) and will get another one soon, as well as an Impulse, a Reverse Freefall, and a looper.
timetrial3141592 Posted June 25, 2006 Author Posted June 25, 2006 The Rocket idea died, and I added a third hyper. I plan to make six. (I count Ruby and Sapphire as one.)
