DATman Posted May 29, 2006 Posted May 29, 2006 I have to do a 6 page paper on something that has to do with Robotics, so the obvious choice was animatronic figures used in theme parks and their rides. Any info is greatly appreciated, and if you found it from a source, it'd be greatly appreciated if you left the link (or book title) of said source. Thank you so much!

Too bad you did not live in Northern Florida, otherwise you can take the tour of this place. http://www.sallycorp.com/
DATman Posted May 29, 2006 Author Posted May 29, 2006 Can anyone help? I really need this, as it is my final for Robotics class, and is due tomorrow.
Mr.Six Posted May 30, 2006 Posted May 30, 2006 The animatronics used on rides are just like most other robots. I'd say just go to google; read up on the basics of how robots work. Then add your previous knowledge about theme park animatronics into it. _six
NoahTheBoa Posted May 30, 2006 Posted May 30, 2006 I don't know a lot about animatronics but you could ask someone on the chiefdelphi forums about it Chiefdelphi
WillMontu Posted May 30, 2006 Posted May 30, 2006 From what I've heard, Disney was the one who pioneered animatronics. Walt started out with the animals for the Jungle Cruise, and the first "human" animatronics were done for Pirates of the Caribbean. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Animatronics
