Legoland Coming To Kansas

Wouldn't somewhere like Kansas and Missouri actually be prime spots for Amusement parks. If they're as rural as everyone claims than there's also an abdunace for acreage of Theme park re-estate.

The location makes sense because it's central to several larger cities.

 

A days drive includes St Louis, Denver, Des Moines, Omaha, Minneapolis, Chicago, Tulsa and Oklahoma City.

 

The cost of land is relatively cheap compared to larger metro areas and the State of Kansas has worked out some sweet development deals with other entertainment companies that are looking for new locations.

man, you people make it sound like kansas city is on the same level as little rock or something, kansas city is pretty nice, and it is a small major city. The city is growing faster than you can imagine, with schlitterbahn, hard rock cafe, NCAA hall of fame (interactive center) and now legoland... it's not a small city with over 8 million people in the metro.

True. Very True. Lots of prime area for parks. Around Rolla, MO would be a great area, Lots of woods, hills (great for natural woodies) Supposedly Disney was looking at land in that area before thay chose Orlando. Lucky for Orlando!

 

Most states now are offereing some incentives to get the land developed, as the case for the Kansas Lego land plan! Funny is how we can give incentives out like this, but cant give the american people health insurance! Funny how America operates!
