babybearbarker Posted May 8, 2006 Posted May 8, 2006 Hi all, Have not posted much as haven't been across to states to ride the decent thrill machines, but that is changing - florida in june here I come - if I don't have a heart attack with the excitement beforehand. Thought I would ask a couple of questions as I can't seem to find the answers on the park websites. At Alton Towers we have a lame fastpass which allows you to fastpass (funnily enough) for one of the major rides, but only allows 1 ride fastpass at a time - do the big parks - i.e. universal and disney allow you to collect multiple fastpasses for all the bigger rides in the park at once? Secondly, I am registered disabled, but not in a wheelchair, and get benefits (i.e. priority access on rides) in the UK = anyone know whether this would apply for the big parks mentioned above and whether I would have to buy a special ticket etc??? Thanks for any answers in advance and I have wanted to travel to the states for such a long time now, but not been able to, so this really is a massive dream come true. The only thing that tops this is Madonna at wembley in August
cfc Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 I've done WDW a few times with a friend who needs a wheelchair. I don't think you have to "buy" a special ticket, but you do have to get some sort of pass at guest relations at each park (if your disability isn't obvious). They also have brochures outlining procedures for disabled riders (for example, where do you enter--the regular queue or the exit?), which generally involve some sort of expedited boarding. I think you'll find that Disney is quite accomodating. Have a good time.
JT3000 Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 The GAP (Guest Assistance Pass) at the Universal parks will allow you to go through the Express line for every attraction. Just go to guest services.
Blue0ctane Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 I believe that at WDW and Islands of Adventure you are allowed to have multiple fastpasses/Express Passes by a certain time. The time is stated on your fastpass. And if you're staying at a Universal on-site hotel, your room key acts as an Express Pass for every ride, unlimited times.
