[Family Guy] Wake up to Peter's theme music

I found this on SomethingAwful this morning, and thought there might be some Family Guy fans here. This guy took a loop of Peter's Theme music from the Viewer mail episode and used a Winamp plugin to make it his alarm clock. Great idea, but I think I might sleep through it.

I'm sure you all know the episode (and if you don't, shame on you, you filthy scoundrel). It's Family Guy Viewer Mail #1, in which Peter is granted three wishes from a magical Genie. As his second wish, Peter asks the kind Genie for his own personal theme music that will serenade his every step. Sure enough, Peter happily finds that all aspects of his life are now hilariously accompanied by an unseen orchestra. My friends and I happen to find the "waking-up" and "walking-down-the-street" music to be of particular gloriousity, and we figured it would be even more amazing if we could act out our own lives to the very same beat.

 

With the help of Audacity, I made a nice little loop that consists of the waking-up sounds, followed by the walking-down-the-street music (with the depressing hobo music removed). The walking music then loops over and over, making the final .mp3 a little over a minute long.

 

If you want to try this out yourself, I've placed the relevant .mp3 and winamp plug-in HERE. To configure the plug-in, go to Options-Preferences, and under the Plug-Ins section, click on General Purpose. On the right you'll see the entry for the alarm plug-in and you can configure it by clicking the "Configure selected plug-in" button at the bottom of the window (note: Unless I'm just being an idiot, which is entirely possible, using the AM/PM setting in the clock doesn't work when you set the clock for a PM time. It simply changes it back to AM, so I was forced to use the 24hr setting). Or you can just use any other alarm-clock plugin/program you may already have that can play a specified .mp3.

 

Now you, too, can wake up to the very music that rouses Peter Griffin each and every morning!

^ It's the episode where they had three short episodes. The one where The Griffins get mutated powers, lil' griffins where the adults are kids and peter and quagmire both try to win over lois's heart, and you got the one where peter gets three wishes from a genie inside a beer bottle.
