That's pretty cool. I used to have P.E., but I got it corrected recently because it was rather severe. I never ate cereal out of it though.

im going to have it corrected over the summer. How long does it take for recovery, and, is there a scar?

Recovery depends on which procedure you have done. I had the Nuss procedure and recovery was about a week in the hospital and 2-3 more weeks after that.

yeah, it is getting pretty bad right now. Im on the swim team and sometimes my heart will just start pumping very hard, very fast. I can actually see my chest going up and down. It like get worse every year, so its to the point where i wake up and cant breath. Im just worried about recovery and the scar. Especially for beign on the swim team.

With the nuss procedure there is not much of a scar. There are 2 that are on the sides of your chest that will be covered by your arms anyway and there may be one in the middle of your chest right under the sternum. That's about it for scars. The other procedures leave more noticeable scars. As I said before, recovery is not really bad. Sometimes there are sharp pains when you move, but those go away soon after you leave the hospital. You could probably be physically active within 2- 2 1/2 weeks after leaving the hospital.
