PHL-Freak Posted March 17, 2006 Posted March 17, 2006 Hey, I got two questions: 1. Is there any B&M coaster without a inversion? (except the woodie) 2. What is the tallest drop you know/in the world? I'm wondering about the two questions for a long time now...
Az Posted March 17, 2006 Posted March 17, 2006 1. there are a fair few yes, Nitro and Silver Star are two examples. 2. (I assume you mean on a log flume) the highest drop on a LOG flume I know of is the one in Phantasialand Germany, it's about 60ft, but the highest water chutes are the intamin vertical chutes e.g. Hydro (UK) and Perilous Plunge, I think they're about 100ft... Jurassic Park River Adventure is 85ft I think... Hope this helps!
PHL-Freak Posted March 17, 2006 Author Posted March 17, 2006 Yeah, these answers really help me. I'm so silly and didn't thought at Nitro and all the mega coasters Thanks!
WillMontu Posted March 18, 2006 Posted March 18, 2006 Also, Oblivion and G5 (the first two dive machines) do not have inversions, although they do have OTSR's. The third, SheiKra, has one inversion.
PHL-Freak Posted March 18, 2006 Author Posted March 18, 2006 Actually I was wondering about the "normal" coaster types which B&M builts. Just normal loopers, and I was wondering about the type "looper" without a inversion. However, it's okay.
lagg Posted March 18, 2006 Posted March 18, 2006 A B&M woodie :S! They dont have one. I think your on about sit-downs, I think you class them as loopers. Well the sitdowns without inversions are classed as hypers, and they tend to have lapbars, without the lapbars the experience wouldnt be as good.
WillMontu Posted March 23, 2006 Posted March 23, 2006 ^ They supposedly built the trains for Psyclone at SFMM
ebl Posted March 23, 2006 Posted March 23, 2006 B&M did build the trains for Psyclone. To the best of my knowledge, they have not built any more since. Eric
Az Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 ^Ah that is a good point, I completely forgot about that one, yes, Ripsaw falls has the highest drop on a log flume ever (at least universal claim)
