I've heard Zonga, Kong, and V2 were closed on opening weekend at SFMW. Obviously Zonga isnt going to open for a while, if ever, but has anyone heard about Kong or V2?

Not sure about what's up with V2 or Kong...maybe just finishing maintaining the ride. Some possible sad news for Zonga though.

^ Yeah I read that earlier. I have never been to SFMW and I was hoping to ride that before it's gone for good. However, that doesn't seem likely anymore

 

I've heard Roar is running really well after a thorough retracking and off-season maintenance.

Don't worry, you aren't missing anything. I was lucky enought to hit it when I was there in 2004. The trains were cramped (no legroom or headroom), and it was a real headbanger.

^ Yes, me too, I hated that ride more than any other. It was just so bad, I think of it as a whole new level of roughness. Way worse than any other coaster IMO.

But I am going to SFMW over my spring break, and I really hope all the coasters are running. For my count being only 32, SFMW's coasters really mean a lot to me.

V2 breaks and is shut down a lot anyways.

^Of all times I've ridden V2, it worked once on the old V2 and very sloppily worked once on the new V2. It's the little brake that couldn't...and the brake kills the moment of weightlessness anyway so I prefer that the brake is off.
