CP_RULES
THIS IS NOT A CONTEST YET! I just want to know if this is a good contest, anything I should change? coasterlover420
Only 1.3 Acceleration? There goes the launched coasters I had in mind (well, I guess not for a B&M style coaster!) I would join, but if there is a template, don't make it too small, because then it would be hard to get a coaster to 200 feet without an impossible lift or a long launch track. Maybe I'll make my own contest!!
CP_RULES
Jakizle, it would be great for you to make a template for me. The acceleration G's are meant to be only for brakes and and launches. And, I can definately add a technical score, but what exactly do you mean by that, something such as how hard it was to make? I think that is what you mean, and if it is, then this would be worth 20 points, and the total score would be out of 70. Send me the template on here for people to discuss, I want it to be big enough for people to show thier creativity though. Also, dont terraform it, people can do that on thier own (all though scenery wont be judged). Thanks Jakizle for the feed back!
CP_RULES
I made the G's only 1.3 because how many B&M's do you know of that are launched? I only know of one, and you'd be suprised what 1.3 acceleration G's can do! (I think TTD acceleration G's are 1.3) EDIT: nannerdw wrote 6. Top Thrill Dragster, Cedar Point; 30mphps/48.2kphps (1.4 accel. g's) Excuse me, 1.4.
Twister II
I would give more on the lateral G's.
CP_RULES
The only reason I am not giving more flexibility in the lateral range is because B&M uses heartline technology on all of their coasters, which they make sure you will experience the least lats. possible. Think about it, have you ever headbanged, or been flung sideways (with one whole G of force) on a B&M? I havent, and I think 0.9-1.1 lateral G's is an acceptable range, especially for a B&M contest. Twister II
However, on corkscrews the lateral are pretty high entering them.
CP_RULES
Ok, you can judge technical, but I think it should be worth a lot more than 20 based on what you said it covered. Im thinkin 50 points technical, for a grand total of 100 points possible. And we dont even have to have a template, but we could if you want to, because you would be the one to make it. CP_RULES
http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=85840&f=48&h=0 Try going there and putting in: start speed (mph)=0 finish speed (mph)= 120 time (sec)= 4 and it will give you the G's as 1.35 Just proving you wrong, no hard feelings. CP_RULES
I think that template is fine, 10 feet actually looks pretty low on the game, so that shouldnt be too hard to achieve. I like this idea. Now all I have to to is re-edit the rules and we can start this thing soon enough. (Im typing the rules in Microsoft Word first)
CP_RULES
However, on corkscrews the lateral are pretty high entering them. I will make it so that in inversions, the lats. can go up to 2.0 G's but this will be strictly enforced.

CP_RULES
Sounds like a good idea to me.
rollercoasterdan
I refined Jakizle's template a little bit, raised the height limit to 16 ft. and added boxes to show. I also added a little box area on the far right of the template that could be used maybe for a cobra roll (hint hint). The template is just a modified version of Jazikles.... One final question, how long will the contest go for, as I doubt I'd be able to finish anything half decent in less than a month (I have a life other than coasters ). CP_RULES
The contest will be plenty long. That will be decided when the contest starts. Also, I like this template better. Thanks a lot, and watch out everyone for this thing to get started.
