so im going to Six Flags Over Georgia, to be more specific on June 19th. I have great expectations and am very excited, but being the credit whore i am, what order would a georgia veteran suggest? i've never ridden a flying coaster so SUF is a most, but i plan on headin to goliath first seeing as it's brand new, i will be there when the gates open and even though i have so long my legs are already ready to speed to Goliath's que. B&M speed/hyper coasters are so smooth and so great (with their clam restraints and airtime) that it is defenitly going to be the highlight

so help me out and give some ideas, also does anyone know about the whole Fearman's Manor? i heard it's open all yearround, i love haunted houses almost as much as coasters...can it be true?

please reply, im a newbie, but if u can't tell from above...well u should probably ask ur mom if ur adopted

I would recommend getting to the park about a hour before they open. Last season SFoG opened about 15 min early so that you can ride either the Georgia Cyclone or the Georgia Scorcher. I don't know if they going to let you in early this season since the park is now under RedZone! I would recommend riding the Georgia Scorcher very quickly and go get in line for the mad dash to Goliath. Also since you are going on a Monday I don't think you have to worry about the crowds being bad! Also Fearman's Manor is open year around but I think its a wast of money.

Well, I've only been once... so I'm no where near a veteran... but here's what I'd do (Which would be logical)

1) Run to Goliath

2) Get over to Deja Vu (If it's open)

3) Superman: UF

4) Great American Scream Machine

5) Ninja

6) Batman: The Ride

7) Mindbender

8.) Georgia Scorcher

9) Acrophobia

10) Georgia Cyclone

11) Any other ride you'd want to ride...

Here are some tips for SFOG coasters

try to get to Deja Vu first. (I did one time and it opened and I just walked through)

if you ride Ninja sit in the FIRST row of the LAST car. (it's the least painful row)

If you want really good air, ride Georgia Cyclone in the first row of the back car. (but it gets pretty rough back there, so be prepared)

I'm not so sure that the new ownership has much of a say in that - I think it's up to the park.

Deja-vu first when everyone will be runing to Goliath?

I think you answered your own question

I agree, get there early and try to ride Cyclone first. Scorcher's line will fill up faster than Cyclone's, and it will have a long line for the better part of the morning - lunch hour. Ride Cyclone, and walk up to the line and get ready to head to the back. With Goliath debuting, take advantage of the new ride popularity and ride Deja Vu if it's open, since it too is popular and has a very slow cycle which can lead to 2-3+ hr waits. Then you can easily "knock out" the other three coasters in the back, going across to Ninja, Scream Machine and Superman. Walk back across Carousel Hill and take a ride on the antique PTC gem. Continue on, ride the Canyon Blaster if neccessary... same with the Mine Train. Then I'd take a ride on the Monster Plantation - it's a "should ride" in my mind, and you'll want to get it before the heat of early afternoon when 10,000 people realize there's an indoor boat ride that can help them take a break from the sun. From there, head over and ride Goliath. I'd bet on a 90+ minute wait for most of the busy season (a Monday in June... hmmm, I can't say for sure how bad it will be). You can then choose to eat at the new eatery there (something tells me it will be good ) and head back to Gotham and do Mind Bender and Batman. From there, do as you please. I'd try to ride Mind Bender at night, it's unreal, and I'm sure Goliath at night will be special too. None of the other flats really stand out anymore -- the Enteprise used to be really fun but I was entirely disappointed with the cycle. On your way out, make sure you don't miss Scorcher - it's a great little B&M

SFOGdude had some good seat picks. I suggest the back car for good air on Mind Bender, and try to ride Deja Vu in the very front and very back if you can. However, assigned seating may make this difficult. Superman is most fun in the back in my mind for the forces, but for visuals I guess the front is the best as usual. I'd put money on Goliath being a backrow, bookend seat coaster.

Yes, Fearman's Manor is open year round and is a separate admission of about $8. Every time I go to Six Flags over Georgia I try to go through because I am also a haunted house enthusiast. It is fun and very jumpy but also very short. It is really different that a typical haunted house. Normally you walk through scenes such as walking through body bags but in Fearman's Manor you walk on a path with handrails and the scenes are to your left and right. It is still scary and jumpy but it could be a lot better.

If you really like haunted houses then it is worth checking out. You will most likely get scared at some point but don't expect it to be like a Halloween Horror Nights house.

Everytime I go in the summer it's really crowded. Usually I get a Q-bot once it's open (if it's crowded) and then go and scan a few rides and then go back and ride them. Between rides you can find coasters with shorter lines if you want. I usually just make a circle around the park a few times a day.

Everyone in SFOG will be running to Goliath at the opening day, you think? I have to quick there, we can't jump in, definitely we can't line jumping! 'cause we'll sent out of the park with no paying!

We ( of course TPR members included ) should make sure we'll be in line more than an hour?
