coasterfreak101 Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 Yeah, I'm gonna be at my dads house tomorrow, so my mom, step dad, and step bro exchanged gifts tonite. I opened the 1st box and got a IOU Note with the Animal Crossing: Wild World picture on it. So I am getting that when it comes in stock! Then, my 2nd box included 2 E-Tickets. I thought they said Busch Gardens Williamsburg, and I was all "SWEET!" So I was like when are we going? My mom said we were going to fly down to TAMPA BAY, FLORIDA (Busch Gardens Tampa Bay) this past Sunday, but she was really sick and miserable. So we were going to fly down in 2 WEEKS!!! Then, she said "Now Will (my step dad), should we tell the kids the truth?" BTW my step bro is 7. She goes "Well, for Xmas Will gave me this booklet on Orlando, Florida. I was like, uh, thanks hon, but I have one from our last trip!" Then he gave her the box including the Agenda for the trip, for all 4 of us. Now, neither of us kids were there Xmas morning, we were at our Moms/Dads house. So we had no clue until tonite. So, she said we were FLYING TO FLORIDA in 2 WEEKS! Both of us kids are leaving school early and flying there. We'll eat there then get a good nites sleep. Next morning (Friday), we go to Disney's Magic Kingdom for the entire day. Next day (Saturday) we spend the entire day at Sea World Orlando, the place with Shamu, a dark/water coaster, and a really cool loking floorless. On our last full day there (Sunday), me and my mom will take a rental car down to BGT, and be there from opening (9:00 AM) to close (6:00 PM). Those are the Winter hours. So, me and my brother are bouncing off the walls, we are really excited. I'll be sure to take plenty of pics and probly a few videos too! Expect a full trip report when I get home! Till then, I'll be in chat!!! Anyways, what I wanted to ask anyone here is for any tips they have on BGT. Any rides that are closed, their camera policy, etc. Thanks all!!!
Swimace Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 For BGT definately try to ride SheiKra first. The lines for it get really long in the afternoon, but are actually pretty good at openning and in the evening. I went on it four times on one day in June with no more than a 30 minute wait because I hit it at the right times. Since SheiKra openned, Montu's lines have been dramatically shorter. Since Kumba, SheiKra, Python, and Scorpian are all in one area, you shouldn't have to face too long of lines for Montu. I believe that Gwazi Lion is down for rehab right now, although it may be back up when you show up. Kumba is down for rehab and a new coat of paint, but I'm not sure if they're done with it yet, it may be opened by now.
coasterfreak101 Posted January 19, 2006 Author Posted January 19, 2006 Yeah, I called the number I found out the upseting news about Kumba. Tha lady was really helpful and checked on scheduled maintenance for next weekend and said there was none. So it looks like they are done!!!
DATman Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 Yay! Kumba's finally gettinga paint job! Now that leaves every coaster at Magic Mt., DD, and Xcellerator as the rides I want to get paint jobs!
coasterfreak101 Posted January 25, 2006 Author Posted January 25, 2006 Well, I didn't get much! Thanks Swimace for giving me a few tips. Nothing is scheduled to be closed at the park this weekend as of today! YAY! And BTW, Kumba looks beautiful So, I am leaving tomorrow. Does ANYONE have ANY tips on BGT, seatinbg tips on coasters, shows to see, must ride attractions. Have you ever gotten onrides from their coasters? What is everyone's opinion on the park? Thanks to anyone who can answer these questions and help me out, I love Florida and I am really obsessing
