buttonman700 Posted December 7, 2005 Posted December 7, 2005 Downloaded Google earth yesterday, and all I can say is wow! It's a great tool for teachig geography, and a fun way to look up parks (still hunting for SFGA, it is in Jasckson right? I just wish all areas on te globe were clear, I can look at Portland, but Salem is all fuzzy. Anyone know why this is? I highly reccommend giving it a try!
ParkTrips Posted December 7, 2005 Posted December 7, 2005 I learned how to search yesterday and all I can say is wow! It's a great tool for finding out if something has already been discussed (still looking for Google Earth topics, they've been on here before, right?) I just wish more people would use it, I know some do but a lot still don't. I highly recommend giving it a try! (that was satirical, if you couldn't tell, and I'm only tooshin the tish with ya ) And to be nice, here ya go: http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=18129&highlight=google+earth http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=17698&highlight=google+earth http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=17827&highlight=google+earth - Joe edit: here's Great Adventure for you: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=40.1370059,-74.440956&spn=0.003192,0.002951&t=k&hl=en
DragonKhan Posted December 7, 2005 Posted December 7, 2005 Man, this is seriously old... Well, anyway. I got a list of over 200 high-res parks around the globe. If you're looking for something specific, drop me a note...
ParkTrips Posted December 7, 2005 Posted December 7, 2005 I was just joking with you. - Joe, who doesn't know how to be more explicit about it

lapseofreason Posted December 7, 2005 Posted December 7, 2005 I just wish all areas on te globe were clear, I can look at Portland, but Salem is all fuzzy. Anyone know why this is? I think some stuff they don't want you to see, ie government land, etc. is fuzzy. For example, I got bored one day and decided to zoom in a little and "drive" on I-15 all the way from Vegas to Los Angeles. Once you got out in the middle of nowhere (around Barstow), a LOT of stuff started to get fuzzy... who knows what kind of creepy stuff they have out in that desert! Makes you think when you're driving there at 3 AM. Anyways, Google Earth rules. -amanda
ParkTrips Posted December 7, 2005 Posted December 7, 2005 Ed - The link at the top right under the "Theme Park Review" that says search. From there if you're looking for something specific like "Google Earth" click the "search for all words" box - I attached a pic of it. I can sound harsh sometimes but I really don't mean anything by it - Joe As you can see you can further customize your search in various ways...
Hattuchili Posted December 7, 2005 Posted December 7, 2005 ^ Thats it, Joe! Ed, there you´ll finde everything you need. --Sören

DragonKhan Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 ^can you foward those to me!! I am working on my list of parks. Right now I have toyko Disneyland, Great Adventure, SFMM, SFMW, DL, Knotts, Oaks Park, Thrill-Ville USA (duh. but the picture quality is not the best), SFEG, DLP, Most of the orlando parks, but again Disney world is fuzzy in some parts! I guess I just post it... This is a huge collection of locations I have collected. Many of them I found myself (most actually), others were found ith help or simply added... I'm currently working on having links to rcdb and official site, but that's a work in progress as you'll see. Still, locations should all be correct. If you happen to have a park that is not on that list, please post it! Amusement Parks.zip
buttonman700 Posted December 8, 2005 Author Posted December 8, 2005 I unzipped the file. But I don't know how to use it! Help
