maliboomer Posted March 5, 2005 Posted March 5, 2005 Disney is launching into the world of Advergaming with a 'The Sims' like expirence called 'VMK (virtual magic kingdom). I believe you will be able to visit DL parks around the world talking to people live during your tour. It has been compared as a complex Habbo Hotel (www.habbo.com) for a younger audience (seven up). From the Associated Press Players will be able to visit virtual parks, design their own creations, accumulate points and status that even link real world Disney experiences to the game." For example certain Disney merchandise, that you buy, can be used as "a prop in the game", once you type in a special code. So Disney seems to be putting a lot of trust into this project. Hey, we might even soon be having TPR meets there.... NOTE: The above picture was not complied by the company and the logo is hand made.[/i]
Sir Clinksalot Posted March 5, 2005 Posted March 5, 2005 Sounds cool, but from the pics it doesn't indicate if you can actually ride the rides or not. If you can't ride the rides, what's the point?
maliboomer Posted March 5, 2005 Author Posted March 5, 2005 ^there is none apart from the fact loners can go there and talk.
BurritoKing99 Posted March 5, 2005 Posted March 5, 2005 is this an online game or sumthin u gotta go buy for ur PC?
maliboomer Posted March 5, 2005 Author Posted March 5, 2005 ^Online, and since its advergaming will be free, but some features will probably cost extra.
Hattuchili Posted March 5, 2005 Posted March 5, 2005 Hey maliboomer, on which site can I finde that game? It looks nice. --Soeren
maliboomer Posted March 5, 2005 Author Posted March 5, 2005 ^Not out yet, I thinks it's conciding with the May festivities...
kenshinmac Posted March 8, 2005 Posted March 8, 2005 Woo... I'm in... Or not... I'm not even sure I'm that loney sad and depressed...
Homer Posted March 8, 2005 Posted March 8, 2005 Yeah, this is like Coke Music, its free since this game will probably have "DISNEY" everywhere just like Coke Music has "COKE" everywhere. Still, I don't have much of an interest anymore in these Coke Music/Habbo like places anymore, especially when you have to use YOUR OWN hard earned monies on virtual furniture for Habbo. But it looks alright, might go on once in awhile.
premierrider Posted October 26, 2007 Posted October 26, 2007 Time to Revive the thread! Yes its very fun but lonley nerds started having love lives on there with there BF and Gf thing.
