The Official Amazing Race Thread!

You can call it a "race" and say that there are all sorts of rules, but let's get real here (the immortal words of Dr Phil, or is it Simon Cowell?)...... It's not as if all these different locations weren't aware of what was going on (the filming of a tv show) and I am sure that the airports/airlines especially were briefed in advance that they would be filming. So, I guess in that sense, it was fixed. Anyone will do anything for their 15 minutes (or 2 seconds) of fame.

Wow, I wasn't aware of any conspiracy theories, I was just speculating. Very Interesting. Reminds me of the movie Quiz Show.

It was really awesome that they won; I really hated the other teams.

 

U & J, for the first flight, were on Stand-By, but they still held the flight for them. It's totally the pilot's choice, and I guess he was a nice guy. I highly doubt he knew about the Amazing Race coming there.

 

Oh, I read in the newspaper that families of four will be competing this coming fall on the Amazing Race.

Get those tivos ready - The Amazing Race #8 is set to start on September 27th. This time its the family version (not sure how I feel about that!) and the profiles are already up on the cbs website.

^ Yup and there's a nice upper class Catholic family from right here in Cincy that's in the Race this time, so we're going to be cheering for them.
