Token Yankee Guy Posted October 18, 2005 Posted October 18, 2005 (edited) I found this information on the forums of sfne.com and it is from a person who I find reliable in his information since he's been on the forums since 2003 and hasen't been known to lie, so I thought I pass on the information that I found. Poland Springs Plunge, our log flume located in the South End is rumored for 2005 to be its last season. Also of course we're pretty sure our Chaos is also being taken out too. As for the 2006 season, SFNE is good at keeping it's mouth shut compared to other parks, so we won't know until we start seeing any signs of construction. I mean look at MSP and Typhoon, that didn't surface until February/March. Anyway, here is an aerial photo of the log flume aerial image of Poland Springs Pluge. Wes Posted October 18, 2005 Posted October 18, 2005 First off... LOSE: 1. To be unsuccessful in retaining possession of; mislay: He's always losing his car keys. LOOSE: 1. Not fastened, restrained, or contained: loose bricks. Really, not that hard. Second, interesting though. Two flumes (this and CP's) both gone. Maybe there's some world-wide conspiracy to destroy all log flumes and replace them with water coasters. That would be the most awesome conspiracy ever.
Red Benny Posted October 18, 2005 Posted October 18, 2005 It's not that big of a loss.. that log flume is pretty average. You just go up and then you go down. They better put something worth it in it's place at least.
FlyingScooter Posted October 18, 2005 Posted October 18, 2005 ^...and could GL's Flume be next? At least the water smelled better this year.
Canobie Fan Posted October 18, 2005 Posted October 18, 2005 Chaos has been gone for a few weeks now... And with the logride going maybe they can put a new HH enter where the old one was... So you dont have to go all the way to BDK....
Token Yankee Guy Posted October 18, 2005 Author Posted October 18, 2005 ^ Yeah, but then it be a long walk to the changing rooms. I dunno what kind of ride would be able to fit in the log flume area. We already have a spinning mouse type ride so we don't need another mouse ride. hmmm. An Impulse coaster could maybe fit in the spot.
