Hey guys, I recently just moved to Vallejo, I'm attending the California Maritime Academy, taking up Engineering as a major, and Business as a minor. Anyhow I am originally from So-Cal, my home park was Knotts Berry Farm, and I was wondering how Marine World would be, I heard it was the highest earining park in the SF chain. Any how it was an over-all good day, and I left with good impressions. In the order ridden:

Medusa: 9/10

I wasn't sure what to expect, but it was actually nice. Two Train operation, and about a 15 minute wait. Typical B&M, but the layout flowed really well.

Kong: 5/10

I've been on a couple of other SLC's and this was probably one of the worst ones. 2 train operation and about a 20 minute wait. Rougher then usual, not much to say, other then....hey, its an SLC.

Voodoo: 7/10

Its the parks Top Spin, but I think its a Top Spin 2, it seemed quite a bit smaller then Rip Tide. The program was short, very short. the beginning was intense, and the last 40 seconds, the ride was very slow, not even inverting.

V2: 10/10

I have been on the Sister V2, SUE, and WT, so I was interested to see what this one would be like. It was a lot of fun, we waited for 25 minutes for the front. I like it just as much as the others, however there was so holding brake on the back spike.

Roar: 9/10

2 train operation, we waited for 15 minutes. By the time we came around the back, it was already dark. Got a ride in the very back, and then the very front, it was relentless, and action packed. A ton of fun.

We got to the park around 4:30 in the afternoon, and left at 9:30. Boomerang and Zonga we're closed, I was a bit disappointed, I hadn't ridden Zonga since it was Texas Tornado at Astroworld. I got on a few other flats, all were being run quite well. Medusa was running 3 trains later in the evening. Operations on all the rides were very efficient, it was nice to see employees trying to beat their last load/unload time. I was impressed, and hope Marine World gets somemore attractions.

Medusa was running 3 trains? I have never seen that and I've been there with a 2.5 hour line for Medusa! As for Zonga...best that it's closed. As far as I know it's been shut down all season long.

They have been running it off and on with three trains all season. As far as I know 2005 is the first time it's been done in a few years though.

BTW so I don't have to start another thread about it, I uploaded my first set of SFMW FF pics over at sm2designs.com. You know you really want to check out the amazing SF Halloween “bush” theming right?

Anyways, glad to see you had a good time at the park. Thanks for the trip report.

Hey,

I visited Six Flags Marine World again last night. This Time I got into fright fest, wrist bands were 10 dollars, not bad since for the past 5 years i've been paying almost 60 to go to Knotts Scary Farm. My date had fun, she is from up here, I enjoyed it as well. I wasnt expecting much, and I just wasnt phased. Knotts Scary Farm is so much better. Man I miss home. Although I do think it was worth the 10$ dollars.

Fright Fest in the past few years is def. not worth the $10. I haven't been this year, but I don't know if I'm willing to dish out $10 for the same old mazes.
