robbalvey Posted October 10, 2005 Posted October 10, 2005 I would consider it a "Drop Ride" not a simulator. Tinhead has just posted a really good walk through and POV of the ride. You might want to check out that video. http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=19533 --Robb
UKParkGeek Posted October 10, 2005 Author Posted October 10, 2005 Thanks Robb. It's just that I hadn't thought about it any way other than a standard drop ride, like Dr Doom's Fearfall for example, but my Dad has this theory after riding it a few years back that it's just a very clever simulator and you don't actually experience what you feel like you are. After riding simulators like Spiderman at IOA I'd started to think maybe he's not crazy! Will definitely checkout tinhead's walk through and POV when I get a chance, sounds good going by the feedback.
disneygurlz2s Posted October 10, 2005 Posted October 10, 2005 ^No, it's not a simulator. And, if you don't believe me, ask the poor Asian man whose arm I grabbed as we dropped the first time I rode. The look on his face was priceless. Shari "I love that ride" Shoufler
SonOfBeastSucks Posted October 10, 2005 Posted October 10, 2005 After you are lifted up the tower, the car rides thorugh a little scene, showing the ghosts who haunt the place and stuff and then you make it over to the drop area. It is the best ride in the park, IMO.
