Cedar Point Trip, Need advice

Hello,

 

I am going to Cedar Point August 29-30. First time going there. Anyone familiar how crowded the park will be this time of the season?

 

Reason I am asking is, I am wondering if I should buy fast lane tickets or not. If it is worth buying the fast lane, I might just spend the Sunday at the park, and relax at the hotel Saturday night. If it is not worth it, I will leave earlier Saturday morning and spend 2 days at the park.

Hi!

 

1) 29 and 30th I think should be fine days to go. They will not be heavily crowded, but they wont be non-existent.

 

2) Fast Lane is always worth it. Even if you spot a 10 minute line on dragster, it still helps!

 

3) Wait to buy fast lane till you are AT the park. That will give you a general idea of if you will need one or not!

Dont ever buy the flash pass till you get to the park. Hit rides like Maverick first because when the rope drops usually people run to Gk, MF, and Raptor. Mavericks line gets long, so that a hit first ride. Raptor and GK eat people like crazy so those lines later in the day become short

And if you're going to hit Maverick first, go in the entrance near Soak City/Hotel Breakers, as you'll get to Maverick quicker, with less walking! Might even get two rides on it with minimal waits! Just go through the toll booths on the extreme left, and tell the guy you're going to the Soak City lot. Follow Perimeter Rd. all the way around!
