fatdaddy Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 Just a quick report from passholder night (Nov 21) for Knott's Merry Farm. I really would have like to do a more complete report, but the crowds were insane! I think I shall skip passholder night next year. That said, what I was able to experience was very good, Knott's always delivers a great Holiday experience. Snoopy on Ice was new, a little more dramatic in spots, and I will say there was less real figure skating, but still enjoyable. The cast at the Bird Cage Theatre always delivers a great performance, even my kids enjoy it. There's Santa, along with treats for kids and adults, cookies, beer, bavarian nuts, etc.. In any case the crowds are not normally this large and most often there is time for everything. Huge lines that eventually peaked somewhere past Ghostrider. FYI Into Merry Farm! I was too slow with my camera, but trust me, there is snow fall. Traditional carolers. Even Goldies Place is festive, but then most whore houses are. Best thing in the park. Berry Tales lives on, sort of. Chainsaw! A little too crowded for me. Bears carved with a chainsaw. I tried to carve a bear with a chainsaw once, darn thing wouldn't stand still and I got blood everywhere! Glass blower. Warm cookie and some milk or eggnog. Stop by and get a high five from Santa. Beer! Smores on a stick? Hell yeah, I want smores on a stick! This was the line to get into A Christmas Carol at the Bird Cage Theatre. Good idea to be early. Great every year. The "Starbucks" or coffee house, or whatever, I don't know, there's coffee drinks. The ice show is very popular, those people ain't gettin' in. Snoopy! Women! Nice sets. Spelled wrong on my Boysenberry Latte. Bonus: guy pukes after Montezuma. Still great even though I missed a lot, boysenberry latte was actually kinda good and I don't usually do coffee drinks. Remember there's a craft fair too, so if you say your "going shopping" and happen to end up on a roller coaster...you didn't really lie. Okay, go check it out for yourself.
Nrthwnd Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 Great TR Caesar, although I'm a bit surprised Catawampus (sp?) wasn't dressed up for the season. Ah well, jolly jolly.
fatdaddy Posted November 30, 2014 Author Posted November 30, 2014 They really should dress him up in lights, maybe a hat.
