LuminousAphid Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 First of all, I was wondering if we can start an official discussion threat about this park- how about it mods? Can you make one for me? Second, I am really tempted to go down there this evening since I get off work @ 3:00, I should be able to make it shortly after they open at 5:00. Than I have 6 hours to try and ride Timberhawk in different seats. The only thing I am wary of is the lines- last time I was there was during the summer when the water park draws huge crowds, and there were atrocious, slow-moving lines for all the slides. In the afternoon we did rides, and that was a lot more reasonable as far as wait times. But since now the only thing open are the rides, I am worried I will spend most of my time waiting. And it's not a huge loss at ~$40 including parking and gas, but I would rather not waste my night waiting in line. They do have a couple of possibly interesting haunted mazes too, but I think the lines for those would be even longer- not HHN long, but probably not a walk-on Anyone that's been here during this event, were the lines terrible? I want to ride my third favorite (out of 3) wooden coaster And maybe this atrocity of a ride Watch for the worst transition in the world @ 2:12 and 3:06. Unwanted back adjustment out of the corkscrews.
ScreaminNewEngland Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 Aw It's the Rocky Point Corkscrew. It's praised in Rhode Island.
larrygator Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 Official discussion threads grow organically when we merge existing news threads from one park together. Quite frankly there has not been much news out of Wild Waves over the past 10 years and what little news has been posted has rarely been discussed. When there is something worthwhile happening at the park a Discussion Thread we be created thereafter.
cal1br3tto Posted November 2, 2014 Posted November 2, 2014 Did you end up going? I know Halloween events can really pack in the crowds, but I was there for their official opening day in May, and enjoyed almost exclusively walk-on conditions. Anyone who's gone, how is their event?
