gerstlaueringvar Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 Is it just me or Outlaw Run's double Barrel Roll could've been much better if it's an airtime hill followed by one final Barrel Roll? I really think the finale is great but didn't do much for me.
Midgetman82 Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 Kumba was still smooth when I rode it last week. Very, very fun coaster that'll surely land any coaster enthusiast's top 10! I like it when a ride has a mixture of forceful inversions and airtime-inducing inversions (hangtime as well). There's a lot of B&M's that fit this list for me, like Kumba, Montu, Banshee, Raptor, etc. Outside of that, there's also Dare Devil Dive at SFOG.

They might have given it a refurb since and it might depend where you're seated (as with many coasters). I'm like that too. On the Incredible hulk at IOA, I actually came out of my seat quite a bit surprisingly. Can't wait to go to BGT next summer!
Bradders Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 I went on The Smiler today, only 1 year old but I find it incredibly rough. It has got a variety of styles of inversions, some I like some I don't. Some hang time in there as well, wouldn't say any of the inversions are forceful apart from the roll just after leaving the station. The exit of the first inversion after the first lift hill is incredibly jerky. It has the potential to be a good ride, but it's just rough. I'm a bit disappointed. Shame I can't go on the rides mentioned above, I'm in the UK and the last time I visited PortAventura I was 18cm too short for Dragon Khan.

Gerslauer usually is smooth but with a minor rattle but I guess it guess it gets worse overtime. I'm in the US so you'll probably never see me at PortAdventura or Alton towers.
