Angry_Gumball Posted October 1, 2005 Posted October 1, 2005 To start with, I need a good name. I got the tophat whatever you wanna call it complete with supports but am flat out of ideas for the rest of the layout. I'm thinking StormRunner and Xcelerator while also thinking of Thorpe's un-named coaster. (I love it's gradient color scheme. Here are some screens of what I have started. First off, I'm really pleased with how the gradient I'm using is coming out. Now, for some feedback and thanks in advance, guys (and gals) 8) Tophat! 'POV' of the launch section.
coasterfreak101 Posted October 1, 2005 Posted October 1, 2005 Cross between Xcelerator's overbanks and Storm Runner's Flying Snake Dive. Somewhere, put a fair amount of airtime in! I would so ride it if it had inversions, overbanks, and a fair share of airtime!!!!!!
coasterguy618 Posted October 2, 2005 Posted October 2, 2005 I think it looks like a cross between Thorpe Park's Project Stealth and Kanonen's tophat. BTW, are you going just put brakes after the tophat or are you going to extend it?
Angry_Gumball Posted October 2, 2005 Author Posted October 2, 2005 So far, I have a tophat, airtime hill, dive loop-like inversion, overbank, air hill, overbank, air hill, air hill, helix and finally the brakes. I'll post screens later.
coasterguy618 Posted October 2, 2005 Posted October 2, 2005 ^ WOW, by your description it sounds amazing! If only it was real.....
Angry_Gumball Posted October 3, 2005 Author Posted October 3, 2005 Well, here's 2 screenies for now. I don't really want to post more until I've got supports going and colors done but here they are. More tomorrow depending on how much I get done. Afterall, the weekend's over. Comments appreciated once again! 8) EDIT: I think I may have come up with a decent name: "Ragin' Rocket" Instead, we've got an inversion followed by overbanks and whatnot. Like Kingda Ka, there's an airtime hill but then there'd be brakes...not here!
coasterguy618 Posted October 3, 2005 Posted October 3, 2005 I want to ride that so badly!!! BTW, i like that name.
Angry_Gumball Posted October 5, 2005 Author Posted October 5, 2005 LMAO! Believe it or not, I thought of Red Rocket before Ragin' Rocket but then male dogs came into mind when hearing the name.
coasterfreak101 Posted October 5, 2005 Posted October 5, 2005 How's it coming? I can't wait to see the pics and download it if you put it up!!!
Angry_Gumball Posted October 5, 2005 Author Posted October 5, 2005 I slacked off for a couple days due to work and school. I'm at the smoothing out stage right now.
BiCoastal Kid Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 I'd be willing to test it, if you'd like.
Angry_Gumball Posted October 6, 2005 Author Posted October 6, 2005 I'm considering re-theming it straying away from the whole "Rocket" theme and the color of red. I was thinking more of a hot rod theme so I came up with a sweet car texture. I know it's no Xcelerator but it'll be decent and unique. I'm going to probably start making a teaser video (no full pov) so you guys can get a taste of it. N'Joy!
coasterfreak101 Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 Sweet!!! The flame on it makes it cool! Can't wait to see that teaser, and then the finished product!! Great Job!!! --Tyler
Twister II Posted October 7, 2005 Posted October 7, 2005 I like it! But if I knew how to use no limits I could probly make a car texture!
Angry_Gumball Posted October 8, 2005 Author Posted October 8, 2005 I'm now finding out how limited/how hard it is to work with actual video content using WMM. I'm still gonna try the teaser soon and the track will be finished sometime. This weekend looks like a busy one for me as I had a full 8-hour day today, so it's kinda on pause right now.
BiCoastal Kid Posted October 8, 2005 Posted October 8, 2005 Perhaps you can try Fraps? http://www.fraps.com/
Angry_Gumball Posted October 8, 2005 Author Posted October 8, 2005 I did use FRAPS for the capture. I just need to edit it. I've already got music for it. I'll get things figured out.
