OMG im in a BIND!!!

As some of you know im going to Universal Orlando, IOA, and Busch gardens to do some filming for my project...well in lieu to getting ready I went to grab my camera last saturday to take it with me to dollywood this weekend, right. Well my camera start doing some funky stuff like taking forever to load and then when it did it couldnt reconize the microdrive. SO I was like maybe its having a minor malfunction. I get back from dollywood and get the camera, again the same thing. So I call JVC and reset the camera and got the same thing. The dude gave me the info to take it to a local JVC repair place to see about getting it fix. Went there today and was told it will take like 2 weeks :shock: :shock: !!

 

I nearly passed out because I leave in exactly one week. He told me that I could see about sending to the JVC service center and they maybe able to get it back quicker. So I called them back and after being on hold for almost 35 minutes w/ one of the brightest customer service rep I found out that I would HAVE to send it to the service center due to the type of camera it is. So I tried to get more information from the rep who just kept placing me on hold and comming back to the phone and introducing herself like it was a new call lol lol (yeah she forgot she placed me on hold twice!). I tried to see if I can overnight the camera and have it back by next wed. but I got no where with einstien.

 

So now im like...I leave in basically a few days and I highly doubt that I will be able to get the camera fix and I have no idea what to do! Then I start thinking...I really dont wanna purchase another camcorder right now being that that kind of camera cost a pretty good sum of money (1,999.99). I thought a little longer and am still thinking that im just gonna go to bestbuy and get the camera (since its on sale for 999.99 right now), get the camera for the trip, and bring it back and pay the re-shelfing fee of 15%.

good news...not I didnt save a ton of money by switching to gieco but I decided to purchase another camera to keep! Went to the store last night and to my amazement they didnt carry the camera anymore...bummer but the dude at bestbuy looked on the PC and noticed that there was some in the warehouse going for 799.99! But come to find out for some reason it couldnt be purchased...nother bummer. So we checked bestbuy.com and they had them there for 999.99...

 

So just now I went to purchase one because im really gonna need a camera for next week and now they are 599.99! I nearly fainted at the sight of that price. So new camera is on the way and im gonna keep it!
