dusty588 Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 Hey there. I was just wondering, if anyone has taken any of the tours offered at Disneyland (https://disneyland.disney.go.com/events-tours/). Are any of them worth taking? Dustyn
Philosoraptor Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 It depends on what you like. I've talked to a few people who have taken them. Pro's: Behind the scenes access to areas Interesting tidbits of information from the guide Basically zero wait time on rides Con's: Some people don't like having the tour guide with their group. The guide will improvise the schedule to do anything you would like, but sometimes people find the tour a little too structured for their vacation.
azza29 Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 I've done the Welcome to Disneyland tour. For $25 it was ok, our guide was good and we got front-of-line access on Pirates and Muppets, as well as two Fastpasses the were valid all day. There was a weird family in our group that kept holding everyone up, turns out they thought they were getting unlimited front of line access for their $25, yeah right! While I certainly didn't feel ripped off I'd hesitate to recommend this one, and can definitely think of better ways to spend 3 hours at Disneyland.

Well, that's what a group tour is all basically all about - a structured schedule so that everything advertised will be seen. Thankfully, TPR Tours offers a nice mix of scheduling and improvising one's group tour. By the way, is this tour the hybrid of the original Disneyland Tours, the one with the Guides in their riding attire (all women in the beginning of it), pleated plaid skirts, riding crops and all?* (curious) *And yeah, it's all about the riding crops.
