BelizeIt Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 Traveling Carnivals may be a risky venture.........perhaps best avoided all together??? Especially when you see a sign that says we have no Insurance...ride at your own risk! Yikes!!!
Jew Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 Well run traveling shows are just as safe as permanent rides. I wouldn't avoid them based on the apparent negligence of this operator.
simon8899 Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 Here portable carnival rides are said to be more secure than permanent rides as they get an inspection every time it gets built. Permanent rides get only one inspection per year. In the 80s we had one showmen - who later fled law enforcement to south america - who ran his crane into an operating Enterprise and killed several riders. But that is the only ruthless showmen in Germany I can remember.
