_koppen
2 weeks ago I took the train over to Copenhagen and my home park for the first time this year (my home park is actually in another country). I would have had more pictures to show you (there were so many new flowers and plants in the gardens this year) but unfortunately I forgot to plug in my camera the night before. Hope you enjoy them anyway, even though it's lacks a few things I would have loved to show you guys. Welcome to one of the most beautiful parks in the world! The photos are 2 weeks old (been busy lately) thats why the trees aren't that green. The best looking Star Flyer IMO. The park was very empty the first two hours, and then it exploded. Nice and green. This part of the park looks so good in the evenings. This part of the parks really gets you the Tivoli feeling. That's a tall ride. Nerd shot! Full swing. I spy something new! AIR RACE! The ride I've been waiting three years to ride! When space is an issue, just build it on a platform and put the quene under it. The new corner of the park also has two smaller rides. Here's the airplane one. The other one is a small freefall tower. Looking good. New ice bar. The air race was down the first hour. Nice materials. Fountain of Tycho Brahe. From the "bottom" of the new area. This wall is the only thing about the new area I don't like. You can't tell from the picture, but it looks very cheap and plastic. I expect more from Tivoli. After three years of hyping it up, the ride did still deliver an awesome ride experience. It was fun and fast, had nice restraints and was very re-rideable. The Huss Break Dance is always a good ride. Johanna looking unhappy because I wanted to move on after four rides.. In case you forgot what country you're in. Here's the ferris wheel, something I think Tivoli should replace with a bigger, more iconic looking one, with a big light package. Towards the park's oldest ride. But first a stop at one of my favorite dark rides! You get into a boat, and then you enter an old silver mine, where you all shot and gain scores which you can all see when it's over. Here's one of the worlds oldest operating rollercoaster. I was going to take more pics of it later, but then the camera died so.. Here's a photo of the sign about the upcoming renovation of the ride. Something a lot of people are missing is this uber cute dragon mascot the ride has. From a distance. Pretty, isn't it? My favorite color purple (yes, it's true!) What a lovely sight. Looking towards the front area of the park. Walking down toward the main attractions area. There was no line, so we took a spin. Some jumping water worms. The Asian tower. How about a small immelmann loop? Entrance to the tivoli area. The paint on Dæmonen is really starting to turn bad. Hopefully this will be addresed in the near future. Random dining area. Looking down the main street of this area in the park. First drop fun (sadly train-less). The nicest looking S&S tower there is. The best, and most evil, flat ride in the world! Boats for the smallest ones. Looking good! A Youtube video simply doesn't do this ride justice. It truly is insane. It's so photogenic. Let's take a walk in the gardens part of the park! And that's it for this time. As I said I would have taken more photos but the camera died. Hope you enjoyed it!
Nrthwnd
What a great tour of Tivoli you shared! I cannot wait to get back to it, hopefully next year. And as for the upcoming 100th anniversary and renovating of the wooden coaster.... Perfect timing, I would say. Thanks for sharing your visit. And great that you finally got to ride Air Race! (EDIT To Add: And so much new stuff and themeing to enjoy, too! Tivoli is going to be awesome to return to, since the 2009 TPR tour.) This. Can't wait! simon8899
Always great to see pics of Tivoli! They've something about planes - first the insane tower, tupsy-turvy thing and now an Air Race... Will most likely visit Tivoli again next year for 100 years of Rutschebanen!
