I posted this in the SFMM thread a little while ago, but it was completely ignored in the deluge of YOLOcoaster posts. So I decided to post it in its own thread.

Hello TPR! I have a friend who's studying "abroad" in Los Angeles and wants to go to Magic Mountain. He's never been, and I've only been once 14 years ago, so I am deferring to more informed opinions. Basically, what should he do there? What are must-rides, and is there any sort of order he should hit them up and move about the park? And would it be worth it to get a Flash Pass of any sort? Also he'll be in the city until mid-April, and he has no preference for a weekend to go. In his words, "if there's a weekend that minimizes crowd and/or maximizes enjoyment in some way, that's when I want to go."

So basically what's the best way to get the Magic Mountain experience in one day for someone who's willing to ride whatever?

Mid-April. Hmmm. I'm just going to say that this is after the Spring Break crowds, so you should be fine going on everything in one day without a Flash Pass.

I would ride Orient Express first to get up the mountain and then you can hit Tatsu, Ninja, & Superman before the crowds come in. After that, I would head over to the back of the park to ride Riddler, Green Lantern, Batman, & Apocalypse. Then, I would do Goliath, Lex Luthor, Scream, & Colossus. Go on X2 in the middle of the day for shorter wait times.
