UrbanLegend Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 I posted this in the SFMM thread a little while ago, but it was completely ignored in the deluge of YOLOcoaster posts. So I decided to post it in its own thread. Hello TPR! I have a friend who's studying "abroad" in Los Angeles and wants to go to Magic Mountain. He's never been, and I've only been once 14 years ago, so I am deferring to more informed opinions. Basically, what should he do there? What are must-rides, and is there any sort of order he should hit them up and move about the park? And would it be worth it to get a Flash Pass of any sort? Also he'll be in the city until mid-April, and he has no preference for a weekend to go. In his words, "if there's a weekend that minimizes crowd and/or maximizes enjoyment in some way, that's when I want to go." So basically what's the best way to get the Magic Mountain experience in one day for someone who's willing to ride whatever?
XYZ Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 Mid-April. Hmmm. I'm just going to say that this is after the Spring Break crowds, so you should be fine going on everything in one day without a Flash Pass. I would ride Orient Express first to get up the mountain and then you can hit Tatsu, Ninja, & Superman before the crowds come in. After that, I would head over to the back of the park to ride Riddler, Green Lantern, Batman, & Apocalypse. Then, I would do Goliath, Lex Luthor, Scream, & Colossus. Go on X2 in the middle of the day for shorter wait times.
