Sir Clinksalot Posted September 19, 2005 Author Posted September 19, 2005 Thanks everybody for the tips. I think at this point we are pretty much going to SFGADV instead of BGW. We would love to go to BGW, but that's ALOT of driving for a Friday night IMO. Knoebels is the main park we are going to anyway. At least this way we will be semi-rested. My main concern is the fact that SFGADV and Knoebels seem to be in the boonies, I'm just hoping we don't get lost. Gregg "Sorry for being an ass ... maybe my Screen Name should be changed to "SuperAss" ... " C.
CoasterFanatic Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 ^ Knoebels, Dorney and Great Adventure are all pretty easy to find. 2 out of three are right off the main Interstate, and Knoebels is really easy to get to. // just be thankful you aren't going to Kennywood. I never realized how hard that park is to find until I tried to explaining it to someone.
Sir Clinksalot Posted September 20, 2005 Author Posted September 20, 2005 ^ Thanks. Mark was actually nice enough to PM me specific directions to Knoebels so no worries. Thanks again Mark! I owe you a Churro next time your in SoCal.
CoasterFanatic Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 Not to make things any more confusing, but Hersheypark is now going to open this Friday from 5pm to 10pm for a charity event. CF Post

When we learned of the devastation following Hurricane Katrina, all of us at HERSHEYPARK felt that sponsoring a similar event would be the best way for us to assist our neighbors in the Gulf Coast Region. Ride for Relief 2 will feature**: - More than 50 rides, including all 10 roller coasters! - Rescue vehicles, including the Life Lion helicopter from the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, will be on display in the MIDWAY AMERICA section of the Park. Sir Clinksalot Posted September 21, 2005 Author Posted September 21, 2005 I just want to thank everyone again for all the help and advice that has been given. Even though we are not going to Six Flags now, maybe it will help someone else! We will take lots of pictures of our trip and post them next week. Kristi "can't wait til tomorrow!!" C.
Nitro X 230 Posted September 24, 2005 Posted September 24, 2005 You made the right choice guys. GAdv was pretty crowded tonight! Kingda Ka surprisingly didn't have that long of a line after the initial rush died down though..... . There is no way you would have been able to do it all in 5 hours. Like Mark predicted, Ka didn't even open until 6. After that it ran nearly perfect, except for a pair of 5-10 minute delays when it started to rain (Naturally, I was in the station both times )
