jedimaster1227 Posted August 29, 2012 Posted August 29, 2012 (edited) http://www.toynews-online.biz/news/37030/Angry-Birds-theme-park-attraction-open Sundown Adventureland welcomes Angry Birds themed activities to the UK. Sundown Adventureland’s Angry Birds activity area is open today. Activities in the licensed attraction include animal spring riders, swings, sandpits and a range of climbing towers with slides. There’s also an Angry Birds video game which can be played. Paul Tomlinson, park manager at Sundown Adventureland, said: "The brand is so well known throughout the world. It’s currently one of the most downloaded games and appeals to all ages – something that was very important for us." Angry Birds maker Rovio has said the idea behind the attraction is to ‘get people who would normally be sat at home in front of a screen out of the house and engaging in physical activity.’ The owners of the Nottingham theme park for under tens have also said they are looking into making Angry Birds themed rides. natertater Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 An Angry Birds themed area. This will either fail miserably,or be a home run for the park.
SaraAB87 Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 Finally a video game themed area in a park, something I have been dying to see for YEARS! I am not a kid or a teen either but I have just thought for a long time that parks should be capitalizing on children's love of video games in order to attract more guests. Hopefully it will be a smash hit so we will see more of this expanding to other parks.
gisco Posted October 18, 2012 Posted October 18, 2012 For those curious to see what this looks like! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7hM5QpLRiJs
jray21 Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 I think the SyFy channel needs to theme an area of a park!
