Coaster Curt Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 Sorry not trying to be stupid here but after seeing a few signatures that state how many wooden/steel/liquid coasters they have been on I got curious as to what a liquid coaster is.
Tanks4me05 Posted April 19, 2012 Posted April 19, 2012 ^I'm not entirely positive since I don't use that classification for my own credits, but I think they are just water coasters, like de Vliegende Hollander at Efteling, or Sea World Orlando's Journey to Atlantis. Either that, or they are log flumes and shoot-the-chutes.
OISU8P Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 This is a good example of what Premier Rides considers one. http://www.rcdb.com/1903.htm
Coaster Curt Posted April 20, 2012 Author Posted April 20, 2012 Watched the video of that coaster and it just seems like a launched coaster, why would this be considered a liquid coaster?
OISU8P Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 I am not sure what video you where watching but is may have been drained. Here is a photo showing the splash down. http://www.rcdb.com/1903.htm?p=4129

That coaster used to be a water coaster, but later had its water portions removed and became a launched coaster. So if you're watching a video of it, you're not imagining things, it is no longer a water coaster. I think this is would be a better example of what you might be looking for: http://www.rcdb.com/2079.htm?p=0
OISU8P Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 ^Yes, I forgot S&S redid that coaster and took out the water features.
