SuicideCarz Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 (edited) Hello all, I thought I would post some pictures on this park I just started. It's in the 'Build Your Own Six Flags Park" scenario. Thoughts on a name would be greatly appreciated. Sorry that all the screens are unfinished, I will post finished screens ASAP. Here is the Park entrance. We welcome people from around the world! Here are the supports for the parks Corkscrew coaster "Revolution!" Here we have Revolution's Station, and two turn arounds from the parks classic woodie, "Shooting Star". Here is the park's newest coaster "XLR8" which launches passengers from 0 to 68mph in 2 seconds! *CAUTION!* It can fall backwards! Finally we have "Hurricane" the park's floorless coaster which includes 6 inversions. I hope you all enjoyed these screens. Again I am sorry that none of them were finished. I shall bring up another update in the next few days! Peace! Edited June 21, 2012 by SuicideCarz
funkeymon Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 Looking wonderful! I really do love the entrance. It's just so atmospheric.
Xtreme97 Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 I agree, I'm totally loving that entrance! The only thing I dislike so far is the roof for XLR8.
SuicideCarz Posted April 6, 2012 Author Posted April 6, 2012 Yes, I'm thinking of re-doing the roof of XLR8 wuth the bobsleigh track and some detail surrounding the roof. Thanks for the comments guys!
SuicideCarz Posted April 6, 2012 Author Posted April 6, 2012 Hello all, I apologize for the double-post. But I have a finished screen! Here is Shooting Star's station, part of the entrance on the left, a nice shop for goods, and some surrounding foliage. Enjoy! (Feedback would be greatly appreciated).
funkeymon Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 It looks wonderful! My only complaint is Shooting Star's station. It seems so odd for a coaster that looks to be built in the 50's-70's. All of your stations in this park seem to be very open air, try closing them up a bit. The more recent coasters should have the more modern, open air stations. The older ones should be a little more closed off to give that older feeling. I hope this helps! Your park is looking great so far.
SuicideCarz Posted April 6, 2012 Author Posted April 6, 2012 The station has been changed. I have another picture for you. Ignore the hills in the back, I am about to add foliage to it.
89James89 Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 I really like that second to last picture. I'm not to sure on the other two stations trackitecture to be honest they seem a bit to samey. Maybe have on flat trackitecture instead of in a wave like you have them both. You have the basics down (that screen shows pretty nice composition with exception ot he huge peice of gray pathing) just need to refine your style. Cheers 89James89
SuicideCarz Posted April 7, 2012 Author Posted April 7, 2012 It's actually diagonal, so it isn't as big as it seems. I will post a picture on that later. And thanks guys!
89James89 Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 No I can see that lol I just meant break what you have up a bit as at the moment its still a bit of a large chunk. Maybe expand the planter a little bit. Cheers 89James89
SuicideCarz Posted April 10, 2012 Author Posted April 10, 2012 Here's a layout for a B&M Sit-down called "Hornet", please tell me what you think.
SuicideCarz Posted April 15, 2012 Author Posted April 15, 2012 Let's here it for all those comments! So here's another unfinished pic. The dueling Bobsleigh is called Avalanche.
RCT2day Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 I meant to comment on this but forgot. ^^Hornet looks great. I would say that straight section after the Immelmann needs something and fix that turn after the 2 corkscrews, just doesn't look right. ^I've never though of a dueling bobsled but you pulled it off really well. Try not to use brakes except for at the brake run, just throws off the look of the track. Vary your tree usage and maybe add something to make that brick chimney look better. Great station and supports. Looking forward to more.
PSiRockin Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 ^^^Hornet is really nice, but I don't like the turn to the brakes. Maybe have the first corkscrew go the other way and work it from there? And remove the drop to the MCBR, have the turn up to it be a large spiral, then two small ones. ^Looks really great. Love the glass and the chimney. Would look nice with a little more elevations and snow. And for the footers, use the curved blocks.
molemaster43 Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 Never have I seen a racing bobsled, but it looks incredible. Those pine trees without the snow don't make much sense. I'd say take those out. Elevation and snow wouldn't hurt either. All in all, good job here.
SuicideCarz Posted April 23, 2012 Author Posted April 23, 2012 Thanks for the comments! Here's another unfinished picture.
QueerRudie Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 How about more than one picture per update, please. One picture does not give anybody enough real level of detail to give you opinions on, and it would make for a MUCH nicer thread. R.D. Games Forum Management Team
SuicideCarz Posted May 4, 2012 Author Posted May 4, 2012 Mini Update Here's a picture of the entrance. It has a wide variety of shops and stores, food and souvenirs. All that good stuff. Downtown we have Shooting Star, and a few more buildings. Finally, we have "Phantom" but don't be fooled by its creepy, silent, ghostly name, this coaster ROARS through twists and turns. Enjoy!
RCT2day Posted May 5, 2012 Posted May 5, 2012 Both Phantom and Shooting Star look really good. And your architecture, as always, is fantastic. But, in that first pic with the building that has 4 brown columns and yellow glass, just doesn't look great. Also, add some foliage and different land textures to Shooting Star in between the track. Very good work, sir.
coastin Posted May 5, 2012 Posted May 5, 2012 (edited) I love how realistic the Coaster trains are in the old RCT games compared to RCT3, especially the impulse coaster! On the other hand, I really like the park you have here! What you do shows you care. Edited May 5, 2012 by QueerRudie

SuicideCarz Posted May 16, 2012 Author Posted May 16, 2012 Thanks for the feedback! Another 3 picture update. Finished Unfinished Unfinished
PSiRockin Posted May 18, 2012 Posted May 18, 2012 That's looking great! Just make sure the buildings have some depth.
RCT2day Posted May 18, 2012 Posted May 18, 2012 ^Agreed, definitely add depth. In each screen, I see the color gray a lot and it takes away from the park atmosphere. Maybe change the colors of some walls. Still, looks great.
SuicideCarz Posted May 21, 2012 Author Posted May 21, 2012 Thanks for the feedback guys! 2 picture update. Kiddie area from both angles. And since kids love color, I thought I would make the back of the buildings sky-ish [unfinished]
