VIDEO TR-Disneyland's 50th Anniversary

Hey guys and gals…

 

When I found out that I was going to the Disneyland on July 17th, 2005, on the actual 50th anniversary, I decided that I would do my very first video TR of the event! You know, give those people at home a first hand view of the festivities.

 

I shot an introduction, our travel, a stop we took at Griffith Park to see the carrousel that gave Walt the inspiration for Disneyland, our hotel, the crowds leading up to the park…I forgot just one thing though.

 

I forgot to take footage in the park! You see, unlike a picture camera, I couldn’t just put my camcorder in my pocket! So, I forgot to take the camera out of my backpack!

 

Don’t get me wrong…please don’t get me wrong. I have SOME footage. About a minute and a half of it or so. However, it wasn’t really enough to document my day there. For the past two months, the footage sat, rotting on my desktop. Finally last night, I decided to have some fun with it. I have created a Trip Report of the event AS BEST I CAN. No you won’t see the press conference. No you won’t see the daytime fireworks, or the media. However, you will se a lot of golden ears!

 

I just kinda had fun with the video. I don’t want it to be a major let down for you guys, so when you watch it, don’t expect too much video from inside the park. That doesn’t mean don’t watch it! It MIGHT still be fun for you!

Loved your use of music, and the lines reminded me of Star Wars weekends at MGM this past summer... no joke.

 

You should think about submitting a video to Robb, if you haven't already, your stuff is funny.
